My beginner mistakes were,
(a) Too much. Not a small pea, a grain of rice (b) Sniff, not snort (c) Not knowing some snuff is mentholated
Now I prefer menthol most of the time, Poshl Gletcher Prise, or Toque Whisky and Honey. If I have a non-menthol that's too mild (ie 6Photo Chocolicious), I add some Toque Original for bite.

I REALLY like the strong ammonia scent.
NTSU Black got me yesturday. A pinch up each nostril before I jumped in the shower, same when I got out, same when I left the house. Didnt realize it was all in a 1 hour period. Had a knot in the back of my throat for about 30 minutes. Lol
I was disappointed when I made my order and KB Original was out of stock. Luckily Viking Brown is pretty similar. I havent tested the Viking Dark yet.
SGM at work today. Pollen had my nose a little stuffy. This opens it up.

Now, now .... don't go all FOMO on me! Natural Brown Schmalzler = Plain / natural scent hydrated with a bit of oil (most likely EV Coconut for this one) Dark with Baker's Ammonia and Lime = I'll add the alkalizing agents to the Natural Brown and then stove it to a dark color. Menthol with a light smokiness = Natural Brown with a little added Dark fired or Latakia and Menthol crystals. |

Feds made it illegal to ship snuff in the US. Unless you have a B&M that stocks some (unlikely), you have to order from abroad. Most folks just order from mrsnuff.com.

SG Kendal Brown Scented. There's a slight ammonia scent in the tin, but once snuffed I get some lemony flavor/smell. This is growing on me, although it's similar to the Thor's Hammer style, and makes me sneeze. Working on my technique. Pinch the size of arborio rice, and just smell, not snort. Is that the recommended avenue?
I think PS Navy Flake would make a good snuff.

I was just thinking the exact same while smoking a bowl of LNF.
I pinch and sniff when I'm at home. At work I dump a little on my hand between my thumb and index finger.
Snorting is not recommended. It took me a while to break myself of that.

The ones on the left are glass. I do NOT suggest those if you work in construction (I know you dont). The ones on the right are plastic and have a rubber piece inside the lid to keep it sealed. I've ran it through the washing machine, on accident, and the contents were still the same. Both were cheap, but I think a bag of 50 of the plastic ones was like $8  |

I got my order from Mr Snuff,a couple of items were missing so I emailed them and they responded right away and said they would get it right out.Dom was the responding party.I tried the Toque Almond Toast,nice flavor.I also tried Fubar Toasted,That one made my eyes water...for about a minute,I picked up some snus,not sure if I will like those but I wanted to try,wish I had gotten the baggy form.I got a McChystals sampler.Toque Whiskey and Honey.Fubar Bohica,Toque Ambrosia and a few others.

Working some Hedges L260 into my stuffy nose ... allergy season is officially on.
When it comes to pinch size, I go smaller with the fine and dry and keep it between the fingers. Moist and coarse snuffs go on the back of my hand in large piles. It can be helpful to lightly squish the pile down prior to snuffing. It's less sniffing and almost a bump into the nose.
