Let's use this thread to talk about what you like to pinch, boxcar or otherwise waft up your nose!
My favorites, lately, have been the more natural, fermented smelling snuffs such as Viking's Dark and Thor's Hammer.
As some of you know, I also create home made snuffs and the latest is called Smokey BBQ. It's a base flour of Burley and DFK scented with what was, basically, a pickling solution. The result was a tangy / vinegary Piedmont BBQ scent with a nice smoky finish.
So ... let's hear what you've been snuffing!

Though I use snuff infrequently these days, my favorites are from Fribourg & Treyer - High Dry Toast, Dr JR Justice and Santo Domingo are all excellent snuffs.
Never cared much for the menthol or highly scented snuffs.

F&T makes great snuff and HDT was my first favorite Toast. I think one of the more interesting ones from them has to be Old Paris ... so complex and different.

I forgot about Old Paris - kind of spice-like if I remember isn't it?

I really like Kendal Brown by F&T, and Old Paris, But my experience has been pretty limited so far. I don't mind mentholated snuffs, but I wish the online merchants did a better job of letting you know. I ordered Samuel Gawith Fruit snuff and found out it is menthol....that doesn't compute to me.

I though a lot of snuff brands were going to be taken of the market because of the EU rules. Did that not happen?

Wilson's iOf sharrow grand Cairo is probably my favorite snuff. I rotate through snuffs I have in stock. Everything is open unlike my pipe tobacco.
I keep a tin at the office. Right now that happens to be toque and I think the flavor is lime toast. Not bad, but I haven't found a toque snuff I really like yet.
I also keep a container in my truck. Currently it is a snuff called radford premium or something like that. A friend in Germany sent it with a dunhill I bought off him. I will reorder this with my next order.
Next I keep a snuff bullet filled for travel or what have you. It is always in my pocket. This just ran out tonight. It was filled with Samuel gawith Kendal which smells like Copenhagen. I'm not a big fan. While I like my pipe tobacco less aromatic, I find I like my snuff aromatic.
The last spot I keep a tin is on my pipe cabinet. This one i hit with a sppon for a quick boost when i need it around the house. The normal rotation is this tin will fill my rocket when it is empty then will go back with the rest of the tins and I will bring a new one up.
So I am about to fill the rocket with sam gawith apricot, which I really like. The dust this leaves in the rocket will ghost it a little, but who cares.
I just pulled up the next one in rotation. This is dholokias white snuff. This stuff will kick your arse. Even a little load of this will set the eyes a watering. This stuff I almost too intense. I brought a tin to Chicago this last year and really got a kick out of others reactions when they pulled on this.
Well that summarizes what I am snuffing at present.

Mostly GH & Co. Kendal Brown, Lakeland, and Ambassador. Have some Toque x-mas pudding, bubblegum something, and a few German Schmalzlers as well. The German snuffs are highly scented. Also have some Railroad dry scotch made by Swisher which isn't really too bad. Decent nic hit and it's cheap in southern states.
the Vikings and some others have been on my list to try for years but I don't snuff too often.

Something I have come to find out (albeit the hard way), is the boobytrap tins of snuff. I opened this tin while just prior to heading to Cobguys house from the hotel this weekend, everytime I handled it there, I felt like the old fart in the covered wagon trying to keep the nitro glycerine from a catastrophe. This was after several takings of snuff: And just to get it level, this overspill filled a screwtop test tube with my toast. Mandatory practice going forward is opening tins over a clean piece of copy paper.

Trying tapping down the tins kind of like how a dipper takes a dip can and knocks it down to pack it before dipping. I try to do that to pack it down flush before I open one.

I did the old tin tamping method on quite a few occasions, no dice. Tried Fubar Bohica at Darin's, I really liked it....with this guy, the fun begins at about 4:45.😃

I figured you were already trying something. You're right, those tins are dicey. I liked the old 10g plastic boxes SG and GH came in but last I looked at mrsnuff they didn't have those anymore.

Quite a few responders here ... nice!
It's got a musty/dusty old book and leather scent with a little floral tossed in there, IMHO.
Many old snuff makers have closed the doors and others will follow. The survivors will cut their product lines severely and anything named like a flavor will go away. Southwest Snuff's Chocolate Éclair will now be called Brown #2.
You might like their newest one ... Ambrosia. It's really good!
... I think Jonah had a similar reaction!
A classic, for sure!
Haven't tried any of the S. African snuffs but the Taxi Blue sounds great!

I was telling the guys up at Darin's place... On the Snuff takers facebook page: Guy#1: "old Paris reminds me of sniffing a french grandma's underwear drawer" Guy #2: "Well maybe you should sniff your other German grandma's underwear drawer and get back to us" A pretty pleasant snuff in my books, but then I never sniffed grannies underwear drawer...I will admit though, when we were kids, my cousin Steve wanted to prove that he had "lungs of steel" and he proved it by blowing up a bag he found at grandma's. I reminded him of it at the family reunion....

A little stuffy this morning and reached for my McC's Highland Ice to help clear me up.
Anyone else use mentholated snuffs for this reason?

McChrystal's Highland Ice is a good one ... scent is just like Vick's Vapor Rub!
We'll have to cook up some home made dip ... you like regular or wintergreen?
I made a Copenhagen "match" for a friend and he said it was pretty good!

I use menthol snuffs on occasion for "medicinal" purposes, though I read that it doesn't really help with congestion. It just gives the illusion that it does, then ultimately makes the problem worse. Not sure I buy that, though.

Today, I'm spending quality time with The Viking Thor's Hammer. It's an all natural (no added scent) snuff with a strong kick of ammonia that dissipates quickly into a barnyard smell. After several minutes, you're left with a pure tobacco scent and a rush of Vitamin N that satisfies. Pretty sure my next homemade snuff will be of this variety!
