I've had no snuff today. After giving in yesterday, I ended up feeling like an ear infection was coming on in my left side. No snuff today, and no weird feeling. I've probably been overdoing it. I'll have a couple bumps later, and see what happens.

I haven’t snuffed in a while and have given most of mine away because after a while, I constantly felt like I had a sinus/ head cold. Is that how you are feeling JB?

That happened to me with McChrystal's and then led to me being completely stopped up. I put all those away and havent had any problem since then. ... I snuff A LOT.

How often would you take a pinch of snuff? Does the effect go as quickly as it comes or does it last a while?
What are we talking here - once every 5 minutes / hour / 4 hours?
And would you ever take a pinch of snuff when you're smoking a pipe?

Sometimes I have snuff sessions where I do 3-4 snuffs in a row, then put it down for a couple hours. 2. The effect is almost immediate, and can last 1/2 hour to and hour, I find. 3. For me, on average, if I’m sitting at work, or in my shop, once an hour would be fairly normal. Sometimes more, sometimes way less. There are huge gaps. 4. I’m not a huge fan of snuffing while piping, because it interferes with the scent of the pipe tobacco. |

It gets me through my day. But days like today when I'm really busy and covered in dust, its once every few hours. Sometimes its once every few minutes.
I figured out that if load up with snuff before a pipe I like it to be a toast. HDT or Irish 22 just go well with it. If I'm on a nicotine bender I go with TPS Madras or NTSU Black with a bowl of Dark Flake or Dark Plug. I dont really like heavily scented, or medicated, snuffs with my pipes.
