Not very many for a lot of folks...Really it's quite a few for me.I don't post all that much.I haven't bought pipes in quite a while,and I tend to stick to only 4 different tobaccos.I don't yet know how to post pictures.Most of what I post here is based on my experiences as a long time pipe smoker.Over the years I've owned over 200 pipes.I'm down now to about 30 good ones.That's more than I really need.In my younger days I tried just about every blend I could get my hands on.I lost count at something over 300.So many that anything I try now pretty much reminds me of something I've smoked before.Thank all of you for putting up with an old codger who loves pipe smoking,and coming here in this calm atmosphere and reading and talking about it.

Congrats, Larry. This is all about your personal enjoyment and nobody has to smoke more than they want, or own more than they want or need. I don't feel like I need to keep up with the Jones's with anything in pipe smoking. I'm thankful we have so much variety in people, pipes, and tobaccos. Happy smoking!
what are those favorite 4 tobaccos of yours, if you don't mind me asking?

I have a supply of Penzance on hand.My wife hates the smell so I smoke it on the porch. I've smoked a lot of Captain Black over the years.Always had a pack of it in my desk at work along with a pipe just in case I forgot to bring something from home.When you leave for work at 5:00 AM that's not hard to do.I also like a couple of the Frog Mortons..As you can tell I lean towards Latakia blends. |
