I met with Al Jones on Monday evening and showed him the birth year Dunhill I got several weeks ago. Al kindly offered to clean it and tune it up for me. He posted the restoration on Reborn Pipes. Here is the post. I should have the pipe this Friday and can't wait to load a bowl.

Al really did a nice resto job!...a nice reference and sage advice for someone not wanting to "bugger up" a restoration project.
If you are going to have a birth year Dunhill, that is a might fine nice one...I need to watch for one.

!952 is a difficult year to find. This is also the first year for the Tanshell. Lucky for me that the prior owners didn't abuse the pipe at all.
