During the past couple of weeks I have had some Dr. Appointments. My Heart Doc gave me the thumbs up during a visit that was a year after my triple by-pass and said I am doing real good.
Then went to a skin doc he took 3 biopsies of skin growths. Yesterday he said they were 2 types of skin cancer. 2 of them were a minor form while the third was more invasive because it could spread. So yesterday he cut out a section of skin. Now to figure out a way to go with this.
Also over the years my docs habe said I am anemic and don't know a reason. A couple of weeks ago I went to a hemotolist she has ordered a series of blood work to start to look for the cause. She did say I am about a unit low on blood. So this coming Monday I will get the results. All of this started from a post I saw on Facebook saying if you were stationed at Camp Lejeune between 1953 and 1987 you may have a medical issue because of the water.
Sorry for the rant had to get off my chest it has been bothering me.

John, while it's not good news, I am glad that you found these skin spots sooner than later and took action.
The number of years that the water was bad at Camp Lejeune is astounding ... no excuse! Please keep us updated and all the best to you and Kayla.

Hope they remove it and you have a speedy recovery. My mom had a spot or two removed successfully over a decade ago. It was from going to the tanning bed. Keep us posted.

It is going to take some time to deal with this. there is Sun damage on both arms, ears and face.
The blood disorder has me more concerned than the skin at this time.

WOW, sorry to hear this! At least you know to be looking into it. Hubby has gotten the same letter. He was only at Camp Lejeune a short time for training but obviously he was still exposed. Lately he has been having anemic type symptoms, but his blood work has come back okay. I will have to tell him about this. Did you not get letters from the USMC? Hubby did.

Sorry to hear this about your Hubby. Hope things work out for him. No letters from the Corp. Might be because my SRB might have been destroyed in the 1973 fire.
Can't give up, don't know how to give up. Why, I am insane and an Irishman.

Ah, that explains it, lol. Celts just keep going against all odds. Might as well. We are Scottish Hubby said that the Corps probably lost track of you. He's in the VA system so it was easy to find him. They probably weren't real motivated to notify everyone, though.
