The other day while at Sam's Club I came across a deal on Dip. I found a tub of Longhorn Wintergreen for $15.00 plus tax. It says it is equal to 12 cans. They also have Stright and a mint. The cost of a 5 can roll is about $10.00. So if you can check it out.

Speaking of, towards this fall winter I'll be taking some whole dark air cured leaf and burleys and making my own dip for the first time this season. Once I get a couple cooks down and get something between a Copenhagen/Kodiak/Grizzly I'm definitely willing to send some samples to those interested. I'm not a very frequent dipper and prefer to chew some Twist on occasion to dipping anymore these days, but recipes and making my own batch of a pound or more for less than the cost of a log of tins is interesting.

A tub of dip that is equal to 12 tins? Unless you are a busy dipper, I reckon you better jar it up, like with pipe tobacco?

Been making my own dip for years, probably about 2 pounds/yr from my homegrown. I use dip a lot because people have a tendency to frown upon you when you light up a pipe in the office or the grocery store. My favorite dip so far is.. orange! but wintergreen, pina colada, apple and maple are good too.

Daily dipper here. I would always welcome any samples to test or try out. pm me anytime someone creates a batch and wants an opinion.
