Just a quick story. My buddy who is also a member of the Briarpatch and I were riding our motorcycles today and decided to stop in to S.M. Frank & Co just to see what we could see. We were greeted by the owner Bill who must have been like "who the hell are these two guys peeking in my window". He invited us into his business and showed us all kinds of awesome pipes. Man I tell you what, those Kaywoodie pipes are nice!! All kinds of cool machines and tools in there as well. I'm glad we stopped by and hope to visit again in the near future. Thanks Bill

It's a shame that they're not more readily available. Or is it just that I am looking in the wrong places? A convenience store that I passed by on my way to my old job carried MM cobs and, at times, Medico pipes. I have to say, for the money, they are great smokers and if one broke while at work, it wasn't the end of the world.
Had Grabows, Kaywoodies, and Medicos been more readily available around here when I was starting smoking, I have the notion that my "collection" would be quite different. I would still have my Falcons though.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately for my pipe and tobacco buying (fortunately for my wallet!), the one store on the list that does it right, WV Tobacco, doesn't ship to Canada. I understand that a retailer isn't making a lot of money on low-end pipes, but I don't want to gamble on "the pipe you receive may not be as pictured". Happily, having enough pipes to last several lifetimes, I am not actively looking for more. |

WV Smoke Shop is one of my favorites, and since I'm only two hours away I get my orders very quickly
