What blend do you enjoy most from your Corn Cob pipe? I like Carter Hall, Sir Walter Raleigh, and Prince Albert, but would have to give the edge to Carter Hall. How about the rest of you?

Codger Burleys for sure! But a while ago I experimented with smoking my favorite Va's, VaPer's and Latweeds in the cobs as well, with surprisingly tasty results. So I guess I should say ALL tobacs taste good in a cob!

My Cobs always get anything new. Other than that they usually get any aromatic I have open.

Carter Hall is better in a cob than briar for me, but I'll smoke just about anything in a cob if I am I "that" mood.

Half & Half for me, but Sugar Barrel and Heine's blend are becoming a regular thing in my cobs too.

I usually smoke whatever I feel like. But my one cob with a forever stem, I usually reach for MM American Patriot. I really like that combination.

Anything and everything. But codger blends really seem to go great in a cob. I seem to enjoy Sweet Cask, SWR, PA, and Chatham Manor the most in a cob.

I started out with a cob and Carter Hall. I didn't care for CH too much at the time and quickly moved to Captain Black, especially the cherry. But now I try new blends in them and whatever I feel like smoking. They are my outdoor pipes.

I received my first Cob this week. It has a challenge to get it broken in. I am only 7 bowls in. So far my fav is Mac Baren Dark Twist. Probably because it was my last bowl. They keep getting a bit better.

They keep getting a bit better. Yeah the break in period while the shank is getting charred/burnt/caked can be unpleasant. What I do with a new cob, when I get that first taste of wood I put the pipe down and let it burn itself out. Normally by 5th or 6th bowl it's gone.
