The paleo diet is interesting for several reasons. I recently did a low glycemic index diet for several weeks as I feared I was getting diabetes. Now, I'm 6'4" 200 pounds, 28 years old on Sunday. I already eat fairly healthy, but long story short. I was getting constant bad anxiety, cold hands and feet, not sleeping too well, many other things in common with onset diabetes. Went to the doctor and they all told me I must have REALLY REALLY high anxiety and stress because I was just having full blown panic attacks and anxiety but my blood tests and things were fine. I didn't consider what was happening to me as bad anxiety which is what was the kicker. At first I thought I was having a stroke or some kind of heart attack. Felt like my blood sugar would crash through the floor, hands would get all numb and tingly. I expressed all this to the doctors and the shrugged every single symptom off as being anxiety. Never thought anxiety could get THAT bad. Feels like you're actually going to just die. It's terrible.
I still do maintain a fairly healthy diet and started exercising a lot more. I'm riding an average of 10 miles a day currently on a mountain bike. Started riding to and from work most days when I do need to drive to clients or use a work vehicle while I'm at work to go anywhere.

trailboss Sounds wonderful. I often think about the tables my grandmother would set while I'm making a turkey sandwich for dinner. Oh to be 35 and single. haha All jokes aside, I miss the woman way more than the meals. I often feel like my generation somehow let their generation down. I hear you...I sure miss the gal. My son is in town, so I am going to do the real big breakfast thing for everyone tomorrow, but typically I eat pretty light. I wake up at 6:30, eat dinner with the wife and generally grab a 6 inch Subway sandwich on the road because the boss pays for it, and drink quite a bit of unsweetened tea...some thing light in the morning, and generally have a few beers to unwind and go to bed..need to stop that though, it is like liquid bread. At 6' 1, I usually stay at 215, I really need to drop 15-20 lbs.
