I know premium cigars are where it's at for most experienced smokers, but I am curious if anyone here smokes regular drug store machine made cigars. If so, which ones do you like?

Unlike drugstore pipe tobacco, Carter Hall & Prince Albert, drugstore machine rolled cigars are really not in the same family as a hand rolled cigar. (for me at least)
The machine rolled are often, for lack of better description, just a big fat cigarette.
Don't get me wrong, not trying to be a snob, and will definitely smoke a Swisher Sweet if it's the only thing layin around, but I'll definitely walk the extra mile to fine an inexpensive hand rolled.
That being said there are several affordable cigars out there. JR's has a great selection of "match/clone/tribute" whatever you wanna call em.
Arturo Fuente Curly Heads are a great cheap hand rolled cigar.
Just my $.02

Muniemakers are great machine mades. Used to enjoy them. I rarely smoke any cigar nowadays.

Hands-down, my favourite cigar, period, is the (very) humble Villiger Export. If I was offered one last cigar before my hanging, that's the one I would choose: it, unlike many cigars costing a lot more, has never disappointed me. Although, if I'm going to be hanged, I would hope for a special edition, two foot long version.

Parodi is the only one I've liked - fire cured, dry, Italian style cheroots and pretty intense but they're good on occasion.
I've never tried Villiger Export but hear a lot of good things about them. A lot of their premiums are underrated and can be found dirt cheap.

As far as machine made cigars go, when I was a lot younger I used to smoke Hav-A-Tampa Jewels with the wooden tips.

Antonio y Cleopatra Coronas nothing fancy here but a pretty good stick .Villiger Braniff No.3 Chico's they may be square but they don't really taste that way. I prefer the box of 50 over the packs and they go great with coffee .

Back when I did smoke cigars my very favorite was De Nobili Longs. I remember that they were very savory and were hard to come by for me anyway.

As a premium cigar lover I never even tried to smoke a machine made but last year during an aro box pass from another forum someone threw a Hav-a-tampa jewel in it. I grabbed it, smoked it and quickly bought a box. Changed my mind about machine mades. It was very tasty and $39 for a box of fifty is a pretty good deal. I'll check this thread closely to see if there's anything else I should try. That said nothing beats a premium cigar and thats what I'll smoke 99% of the time.

I smoked my share of A&C English Market cigars along with Robert Burns. The DeNobli and Parodi cigars are still produced just outside Scranton, Pa.

Easy answer here ... I've smoked more of these Cheroots than the average bear, for sure!

I does seem strange that they were hard for me to get, all I've got to blame is the storekeeper in our area at the time that didn't carry them regularly.

Not too many of those I like that much, but I always liked smoking a Marsh Wheeling once in a while. The original stogie from what I understand.

My Uncle Joe was over 90 years old when he passed away. He was never without a cigar in his mouth...morning, noon, or night. For years he smoked these.... And then for some unknown reason, he switched to these....

De Nobili, Parodi, and Kentucky Cheroots are all exactly the same cigar, made by Avanti. Other in their lines are also the same, though some are flavored (Ram Rod is bourbon, Avanti is Anisette, etc.). Antonio y Cleopatra Coronas nothing fancy here but a pretty good stick .Villiger Braniff No.3 Chico's they may be square but they don't really taste that way. I prefer the box of 50 over the packs and they go great with coffee . Any cigar called Chico's has got to be great! But what do square cigars taste like?

Never knew that these were made right here in my backyard. I'm familiar with Parodi, Avanti, DeNobili, RamRod, and others, but never knew they made the Kentucky Cheroots. I guess it's true that you learn something new every day!

No kidding, Ron, seems like they're in every grocery store and gas station. Nowadays maybe but, not when I smoked'em 40 years ago. I would like to try'em again but, that'll just start that damn cigarette craving again I bet.

I don't smoke cigars as much as I used to, but my go to smokes are Swisher Sweets Perfectos or Garcia y Vega Natural Minis.
Back when I did smoke cigars more often the list included the above as well as Phillies Titans, Dutch Master Coronas, King Edward Coronas, Miami Suites Irish Creme & the occasional Al Capone Cognac or Rum.
I also liked to smoke a few different premium sticks back then too, but not at the prices they are now.

I discovered Backwoods cigars back in the late 1970s and they became my favorite when I was on the road working. I'd buy a pack and throw into my camera bag. I remember giving one to a Chief who was a cigar smoker and he laughed at them until he stuck it in his mouth. Said it was good for smoking or just chewing.

Inspired by this thread, I just took advantage of Cigar.com's 10% off/free shipping sale and got a tin of La Aurora Finos (the 30 rg size) and a pack of Villiger Export original. Well, "got" is a slippery term when dealing with these websites because both were backordered, so we'll see if I actually get them.... If anyone is interested, by the way, the code is TENSHIP. And this is kind of too good to pass up: www.cigar.com/p/cigar-com-5-for-5-samplers/1493083/
