I like Quintero habanos quite a bit with some age. But they are on the order of $3 a stick and not really a typical drug store brand per sae.

Muniemakers are great machine mades. Used to enjoy them. I rarely smoke any cigar nowadays. I thought that Muniemakers went out of production. Technically, I guess they did, but they are now being sold by a different company under the name of Tuscarora Cigars.

Just noticed that both are available from several online vendors.

Hi, I agree with Grimpeur and George Bowman with regards to Villager cigars. They are cheap and among my favorites. The exports are great for the price, especially buying at the Duty Free, but in terms of taste #7 and #4 are both pretty good. In any case they are miles better than the Phillies and King Edwards I smoked back in the day.

I used to smoke cigars daily. When I didn't have time to smoke a full size cigar (I.e.'Fuente Hemingway), I turned to Davidoff mini-cigarillos. I absolutely love these. I haven't smoked any in almost a year now, as I've only been smoking pipes these days.

Neos Mini Cigars blended with hand-selected Virginia leaf from Java. Picked up a few tins at the Duty Free Shop. Antonio and Cleopatra Principes

My favorites were the Robert Burns machine made, but they were often hard to find. I'd often buy the Antonio and Cleopatra cigars, preferably with the Claro wrappers.

When I finally decided to give smoking a go, I went with the Black & Milds mainly due to the pipe tobacco. But my other choice is the Dutch masters, not bad at all.

My two favorite machine made cigars that I smoked often through the 70’s & 80’s was Optimo Palmas in the big box of 25, which had a Maduro wrapper and my other favorite was Rigoletto Black Jack in the 5 pack sleeve. At the time both cost under $20.00.....those were the days!!! I ALWAYS had a cigar hanging out of my mouth and enjoyed the pipe after a full days work. I remember smoking cigars while traveling by ✈️ plane ✈️.
Who else remembers those days???

Reading this thread has made me curious about what today's machine-made cigars taste like today. Where is a good place to buy them online with a good selection?

Hands-down, my favourite cigar, period, is the (very) humble Villiger Export. If I was offered one last cigar before my hanging, that's the one I would choose: it, unlike many cigars costing a lot more, has never disappointed me. Although, if I'm going to be hanged, I would hope for a special edition, two foot long version. Green or brown wrapper? I myself like both but prefer the green.

Famous smoke shop has the best selection. Prices arent terrible either. I need to order a box of yard cigars and thats where I'll order from.

IMO the Italians make the best machine made cigars. Try the Toscano Classico (not to be confused with the American made Denobili Toscani which are a similar blend but not as well made and usually have worse draw). These are dry cigars that are not meant to be kept in a humidor.

I remember when Kennedy stopped importing of Cuban cigars my father was furious. He couldn't get his favorite Partagas anymore so he switched to Travis Club Senators and smoked 'em till he died. I smoked 'em for awhile and still do ocassionally. Mostly I smoke the Cuban Partagas Corona's my friend from Venazuala brings me at Christmas every year.

Hmmm. I haven't had a machine made cigar since high school, Swisher Sweets and Backwoods. They were OK, but I wasn't that picky either. I've wanted to try Schimmelpennincks ever since I saw the movie Smoke (1995), starring Harvey Keitel, William Hurt and Forest Whittaker. Not a great movie, but I like it anyway. William Hurt's character smokes Schimmelpennincks.
