I am not a Dunhill expert either and have seen this posted elsewhere (Facebook group I think) but they certainly seem "off" to me. Stampings don't seem right and the patent looks strange IMO.

Bidders seem to think the first is legit and the second isn't, from the looks of the bidding with a bit over 3 hours to go. The 2nd has a lot of fills. I would stay away from both.

Both are clearly fakes. The stampings aren't Dunhill stampings. The shaping isn't Dunhill shaping, and both are made from wood with a number of putty fills that Dunhill would have used as furnace kindling. The author got $145. I hope the new owner is happy to have bought a fkae. And, it's possible that he is, since some folks collect fakes for their amusement. As fakes go, these are really bad.

What I tell you Sablebrush is the man. I would not hesitate to get his opinion if I were purchasing a Dunhill or better yet a Barling.
