Now smoking C&D Bluegrass in a medium bend raw sienna toned early Radice sandblast egg with bamboo carving on the shank and a black acrylic stem. A bottle of Mountain Dew made with pure cane sugar is my drink. Cleaning a few pipes. Jim is there a forthcoming review for both Bluegrass and Blue Ridge? I almost bought a tin of each when I purchased the Peterson Signature Flake, but there were zero reviews for either blend. Thanks JimInks . Yes, I'm working on reviews from them and three other C&D blends. I'll post them in a couple days or so. Now smoking 1970s Heine's Blend in a 1977 straight black rusticated Sir Brent billiard with a silver band repair and a brown pearl grey acrylic stem. Phone chatting about pipe tobacco recipes.

I don't know what it is about Esoterica blends, but I've yet to try one that I didn't like. Admittedly, the Stonehaven needed a little more dryin out than I gave it the first try, but it is a great smoke. I absolutely love Penzance but a very close second for me is Margate. I usually have a bowl of it at least once a week. Tonight, while sittin here in the mancave I caught myself lookin up @ the Esoterica shelf and decided to try the Pembroke sittin up there callin my name. This is a great smoke. Very rich and creamy. Noticeably spicier than Margate, which I understand is very similar minus the Cognac topping added to Pembroke. I'm smokin it in my Sav 320KS Author (my Margate Briar). Sippin on 1792 & water.

On deck for the morrow (airing out) is a Fake Falcon with a bowl of Tinder Box Peach Melba, ten years old, with some Deer Tongue mixed in. I bought a package of three what I thought were Falcons, only to be told by those wise than I that they were metal coated plastic stems and the bowls would not fit a normal Falcon. They actually are fairly sturdy, though I will not buy anymore while Cobs are so reasonable. Two of the bowls had briar repair. But, dadgummit, they smoke fairly well from the very first bowl. Just wanted to mention that so y'all don't think I am throwing good toby in a crud bowl

A quarter of the way through this bowl of C&D String Duster in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer with a black acrylic stem. Watching Thunderball, though jealous Suzy keeps insisting that she's prettier than the Bond women.

Last smoke of the day is Granger in the third pipe I ever bought ($1.95), a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley Apple with a black vulcanite stem. Stormy's been raining on our parade for a while this morning looking for some burley. Maybe I should toss him a bowl of Granger.

Just finishing this bowl of C&D Burley Ribbon Cut in a 1970s slight bend black sandblasted Comoy's Silver Cloud 624 sitter with a silver pearl gray acrylic stem. Madame insomnia called to me, and I had to listen because she has the keys to my sleep patterns, the fickle ol' so-and-so. Suzy and Molly were happy because they got extra wet food. I had an oatmeal raisin cookie, a.k.a. Food of the Gods.

Now smoking C&D Crooner in the very first pipe I ever bought ($2.49) in 1974; a smooth three quarter bend Dr. Grabow Omega with a black vulcanite stem. Watching Daniel Boone.

Just finished smoking Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink. The trusty Saint Bernard brought us the bergs right before he stole the keys to my whisky cabinet. You'd think that was bad enough, but the little so-and-so made off with three of my finest maduros, too. Mu guard cats, Suzy and Molly, were busy being bribed with tuna. I end up with pipe tobacco. That is a serious crime! I need to get me some of this EGR blend but I am not too high on Latakia, Chestnut is my limit for Lat in a blend.
I bought an ounce of EGR bulk from WVSmokeShop.com and I have smoked 3-4 bowls and haven't really detected the latakia, so you might want to try that!

Jim, We had five dogs at one time and one would always run interference for the others. One day a can dropped on the pantry floor and it sounded a little hollow. I checked the boards and found a tunnel. Little jerks had everything from a tunnel going all the way to the Hoffbrau, a radio to listen in on us, the pitbull was tailoring a Gestapo Uniform for the Miniature Pinscher, and the most egregious thing was they had my collection of Mickey Spillane novels. When I came back up, Xuan asked me what was going on. I simply said Nothing. I know nothing.
LOVE it! But did they have a stash of Tommy Dorsey records? lol

Another Simple Pleasure. PA Cherry Vanilla in my ol Dunhill Pot I read one bad review of that, but have it in my next WV Smokeshop Cart. I am guessing it's a thumbs up?
I really enjoy PA Cherry Vanilla, and I love WV Smoke Shop

The sun is shinning and there's very little humidity. I'm a few minutes into my first pipe of the day: Samuel Gawith Skiff Mixture in 'Dad's Urbino', a rusticated bent apple, no. 312, with a gold band and an acrylic stem. I'm drinking a mug of black coffee.

GLP Stonehenge Flake new tin fresh... needs a few weeks at least to mellow and marry in the jar, IMO. It is otherwise delicious.
