It's been a busy afternoon, I have smoked a couple bowls of C&D Crooner while out this afternoon. I now have some Lane LTD Andullo in a Big Ben Vintage bent billiard.

I took a pipe full of MacB ODF RR in the MM Diplomat 5th Ave with me to go get the truck inspected. I found out a new law that went into effect Jan. 1 means I have to fix or replace the 3rd brake light on my truck topper. I called where I got the topper & they said they had one in stock, so I went by to get it, traffic was terrible. It turns out the one I need was at their other store, so I'll have to get it tomorrow & get the truck inspected next week.
Since I feel like I need a treat, I decided to open one of "blends I've held on to" ... McC Matured Virginia Navy Cavendish in the MM Diplomat Apple HW with a bottle of Coke.

Time for something exotic: Carter Hall in a MM Danish Spool cob. Drink is a diet Shasta cola on the rocks. Southern state members and guests in the storm front, be safe.

More C&D Blockade Runner in a Comoy Golden Matt Canadian. Getting colder now. Thinking of lighting the wood stove for a bit. Surprising for August.

Relaxing after a wonderful shrimp and cheese rice dinner and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2002 Wessex Sovereign Curly Cut in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Decided to take an ice water and bergs break with a can of the very delicious Hansen's Mandarin Lime soda with pure cane sugar.

Earlier I had some Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky while pondering a job offer. My good friend and old boss wants to get me hired on the company he works for selling railroad lubrication systems. I'm still weighing the pros and cons.
Last smoke of the night is Quadrat im Kreis in the Medico Tuxedo.

Dare I get excited? I think autumn is in the air! Sixty degrees and raining here in Pittsburgh- The kind of night that makes a pipeful of 10 Till Midnight on the porch as the first leaves of the season are falling a sublime experience. I think I am going to plant a crop of pumpkins next year(just a hobbit thought with my smoke). For the immediate future, I think I will head in and have a cup of coffee and see if I can get into Dune. I have put this book off a while now and it feels like a great night for reading.

Lady Margaret: I live for Autumn and a slow descent into Winter. Being homebound I am used to being inside, so cabin fever is my normal state.

Wilderness in a Peterson XL23, wasn't very pleasing. Sad to hear that, bud. I had that blend on my list of smokes to try for awhile now. The write-up and reviews for it made me think it would be great.

Prepared for my normal hectic Friday work day with a bowl of Presbyterian Mixture in the Peterson Antique Collection bent brandy billiard. Two cats stuck to me (they love this 'baccy). Coffee x 2.
Work smokes will be my own Mystery Blend of leftovers in a couple of cobs.
