SH Select Mixture in my RobE blasted Acorn.
love it! he does beautiful work. hubby really liked his pipe that had interchangeable bowls. I hope, I hope, I hope I can get one of his morta eggs. *sigh*
When you get enough in the pipe budget, you can always commission one if he doesn't have one available. If you've never commissioned a pipe before, be aware that if can take a few months before you come up in the queue and have your pipe made.

Last smoke of the night is PH Golden Sliced. Right out of the can it smells a little more vibrant. Initial light seems slightly more citrus. Now to go look for my Einhorn outfit so we can get a Briar Patch Calendar in the works.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but RobE posted his available pipes on his Facebook page after the show closed on Saturday and it was sold within a couple hours. However, keep up hope as this morta shape which he calls "Deadpool" due to the red accents has turned out to be quite popular and RobE makes it often. If you aren't already, follow "RobE's Art" on Facebook. That is where RobE posts his available pipes.

Some of Russ' Cavendish in the Woods, in a nice old un-named bent. It is sitting in a crude holder in this pic. I saw a nice one, saved the pic and in a couple of minutes whittled out one from a scrap of wood, using the band saw and belt sander. Now that I see that it works, I plan to make some nice ones. Pretty handy little thing. I like that tobacco, my first try with it. I did dry it a bit before packing the pipe. It was VERY windy outside, but I really had no trouble with the tobacco.

Nice job, I'm sure you'll enjoy making more pipe furniture. I need to transfer the pics from Photobucket of the pipe rests & pipe racks that I've made so I can post them on here.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Peter Stokkebye Bright Virginia in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Billiard bowl with a long Canadian stem, unbranded.

The EGR/H&H mix, in the Savory's Argyll 286 chubby billiard. My Savorys (a Dunhill sub-brand, afaik), all have the feel and build of "old furniture", and they're all great smokers. I bought my first one new back in 1972 or thereabouts. It took me decades to find another one. Now I have five. Lately, the pickings have been slim for this estate line, and I believe that it's no longer flying under the radar, so its availability seems to have dried up at present. I have 2 Savory's as well. Both bent Acorns. What ratio of H&H to EGR are you blending? EGR 60 to H&H 40. I also like a variant mix of EGR and Match Blue Boar, same ratio. Anyhoo, First bowl today for me is some more of that same EGR/H&H mix, in the Orlik Virgin 182 billiard.
