Our old dryer finally crapped out, Sears it was, gave wife a Blank check and said buy what you like as long as it's a Speed Queen, too old to have issues with laundry equipment. Wife says Japanese dryers are more streamlined , told here ain't no such thing as a pretty dryer, BUY A SPEED QUEEN.

I had a couple buddies that were roomates and their dryer crapped out, they were both at the point of being down to the last of their clean clothes when they picked up a used dryer....Mark told Jim that since he was older, he was pulling rank and using the dryer first....Jim went off to the Hofbrau, and when he came back Mark was pretty depressed. it seems that in the tumbler, there was a loose piece of metal on one of the Padlles/ribs, and Mark's dryer load of new Levi's were shredded. When we were kids, my little brother thought it would be cool to feed mom's cigarette butts through the ringer, unfortunately it grabbed his arm....I ran up from the basement to get mom, and I dont think her foot landed on a single step coming down as she came down to hit the crash bar and release it.....it chewed him up pretty good, no broken bones, but he had rubbery looking arms for quite a few years.

Wife bought the old Knob controls, when my oldest boy was 4 , he hated the twins, boy and girl, one afternoon I heard a boom, boom, boom, coming from the laundry room, ran in just in time to see the dryer door spring open and a set of twins come tumbling out, oldest boy had opened door and twins crawled in, he turned the dryer on and skidalled , twin boys nose bleeding all over the place, hurried up and took him to Dr, where they cartelized an exposed blood vessel in his nose. I had calmed down by that time and could see the humor in it. Ripped his arse though when I got home.

Trouble with the new high tech dryers is the cost (300-450) for circuit boards that go out.

I convinced my little brother to hide in the dryer when we were playing hide and seek. Then I turned it on. I was an a-hole at times.

I DO NOT buy Chinese made Sh*t anymore, period . I have in the past and have suffered the consequences of my actions. Other have also, such as: blown out tires, leading to car accidents. Toys made using lead for children to play with. Arsenic laced foods; and others I cannot think of off the top of my head, but look it up.
That said, Chinese electronic equipment is pure Sh*t. That's not a question (IMO) but a fact. I have seen solder joints on PC Boards that a 9 year old could do better. That's not even mentioning the quality of parts used on the boards.
Do yourself a favor and buy American, U.K. (including England, Germany, France, Italy, etc.) Japanese, or other quality makers. I have been studying the Chinese made materials for over 20 years now and can assure you I have plenty of experience in saying: DO NOT BUY IT, YOU ARE BEING RIPPED OFF.
