Hi all, I visited Rich Lewis' pipe and tobacco today. He is a brilliant pipe maker. I've got three of his pipes! He does a lot of pipe repair as well. I brought four pipes with and he repaired three on the spot! I left the fourth for a new Charatan dc stem. I can't say enough good things about him! www.lewispipe.com/ |

His son George makes some great pipes too. He also has stamps for many pipe companies for restoration purposes and he's a wealth of information. He studied under many of the greats. |

Shame he is not an online seller, but does have a website. Thanks for sharing that. I'm certain if you see a pipe you like, a call or email would get things rolling. His son George makes some great pipes too. He also has stamps for many pipe companies for restoration purposes and he's a wealth of information. He studied under many of the greats. I was just about to mention George! I haven't had the chance to buy either of their pipes yet on account of funds, but they both do damn fine work. I think it was last summer I picked up my M.T. Natural in their shop. when I walked in, Rich stopped what he was working on and BSed with me while I looked around. he was absolutely polite and happy to talk about pipes and tobacco. most any place I have ever been in just wanted me to buy something and get out. Rich made me feel welcome and not rushed in the least. I was rushed on account of my wife and our boys waiting for me. I look on their site from time to time and drool over pipes I want and mourn over they sold pipes I want. Ted, you should try to convince them to sign up here and put some pipes up on this site.  |

That looks like a nice outfit. He makes some beautiful pipes; looks like he sells out pretty quick. Don't know that he needs to push his product any more than he does; he has a good following as it is. What shape pipes of his do you have?

They're pretty generously sized pipes without the chamber diameter getting too crazy large. |
