I now have a buffer with 1/2" arbors. I need a source for good buffing wheels. My local Lowes and Home Depot don't carry them.
suggestions?

Harbor Freight Tools might be a good place to check if there's one near you.

Vermont Freehand is where I would look. Steve is well regarded in the hobby and comes loaded to a few of the bigger shows. Quinton Wells is the guy to see about the perfect motor set up but I don't trust myself with a wheel, I figured long ago if I can't do it by hand I don't want the pipe. vermontfreehand.com/buffing-wheels/

Your very welcome Don, I've always purchase my buffing supplies from them because they carry the same and more then pipemaking suppliers and most the time are much cheaper.
