I've been enjoying Bourbon for over 30 years. Some of my favorites are Blantons, wild Turkey Kentucky spirit, woodford reserve, and my beloved Wild Turkey 101.
Let's hear what's in your glass. đ„

Nice to see a shout out to Wild Turkey's Kentucky Spirit; it is by far my favorite bourbon. I found it when I was consulting in Omaha for a year, and was just prowling the aisles of the liquor store looking for those little rating tags. Wild Turkey's Rare Breed was rated 95, which was really high, and Kentucky Spirit someone rated 98. I bought both, and agree with the distinction. Rare Breed is great, but Kentucky Spirit is sublime.
Back in those days the stopper was pewter, now it's wood, but if you like top shelf bourbon, I can't recommend Kentucky Spirit enough. The first sip's gonna burn, but after that, you'll appreciate the richness and yet still smoothness of the blend. It's exceptional.

Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Talisker Storm, El Mayor Anejo, Jamison's Stout Barrel Aged, any good Chilean Malbec. I really enjoy things that cost much more than these, but this is my budget and these are all very good. Good enough and good value.

Usually Knob Creek. Four Roses or Buffalo Trace for a change of pace.

I am not one who consumes alcohol so my list will show that. Kaliber non alcoholic beer by Guinness, Death Wish Odinforce Valhalla Blend coffee, Mountain Bear Birch Beer and Ice water that is so cold it makes the teeth hurt while drinking it.

I would just add Bulleit to that list and call it good!
Also appreciate some Bombay Sapphire or Grey Goose Vodka on occasion as well.
Beers are in the Pale Ale and IPA categories, mostly, with stouts in the winter.

Johnnie Walker Black is my go-to. I have literally walked out of bars before if they didn't have it, much to the annoyance of some of my friends.
I do enjoy a good bourbon once in awhile, and Woodford Double Oaked is probably my favorite.
If I want to mix it up, a Bulleit Rye Old Fashioned works nicely.

Though I've had my share and left all that's left for others to enjoy, I loved,,,
Lagavulin, Lophraig 10yr old, Wild turkey 101, and Maker's Mark. I won't list the beers I was accustomed to partaking in

Bulleit is what I get most often.
Bulleit *** Smooth, sweet vanilla, oak. Buffalo Trace *** More body than Bulleit with a stronger finish. Woodford Reserve **** Not as smooth by design. Dynamic taste. Strong finish. Eagle Rare **** Smooth. Aged longer. Blanton's ***** Smoother than Woodford but no less flavorful.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of these above. They just have different tastes and strengths.

It is unusual for me to drink bourbon, but Wild Turkey 101 during the Thanksgiving season is a must. I drink cheap Merlot wine and drink Modelo Negra beer on occasion. Also Presidente brandy after supper.

I take shots of Wild Turkey American Honey when I feel a cold coming on, lol. I usually drink Mike's Hard Peach Lemonade I use stout and porter for cooking. I have a raspberry ale in the fridge I haven't tried yet, waiting for the weather to cool down.

As a Kentucky Colonel (yes, I am totally being boastful) I have some opinions; When The Medley Bros were making Ezra Brooks It was mighty fine. Do not know about it now. Wild Turkey is pretty smooth, as well. My heart is with Heaven Hill products. Heaven Hill, Evan Williams. A few more listed by others. I grew up knowing the head of HH and the Medley family, so there may be some bias, but HH products are easily found in 86 proof, which is optimal for flavor. Other companies throw Black Labels on their product to make you think it's stronger, yet the proof is still 80. Old Weller 107 is very smooth for a strong whiskey. Elijah Craig is an HH product at 94 proof. Had many a bottle of this. Dickel, Tennessee that beats Jack Daniels imo
Walker Black (Red is medicine tasting) Walker Double Black, smokey and sublime
And I barely have a drink a month now.

Likewise, another Kentucky Colonel. Four Roses Single Barrel 100 proof is my preferred bourbon. It's not as sweet as others which agrees with my palate.

Wild Turkey 101 is always a treat.
Lately, I have been enjoying Jim Beam's "Devil's Cut". This is a 90 proof bourbon. They claim to have a method of extracting the whiskey impregnating the aging barrels and add that to this higher proof bourbon. It is smooth and richly flavored with noticeable oak overtones. I hope there are no additional flavoring additives. For the price, usually under $20, it is a bargain in the current overpriiced Bourbon market.

It's darned good

I'm mostly a wine guy, but...
JTS Brown bourbon (economical), and Stranahans Colorado whisky (less economical).

Wine? Hess Cabernet has been a favorite for many years. Columbia Crest Merlot flies under the radar.

Whiskey/Whisky: Old Grand Dad's 86/100/ and 114. I really like all them but it's hard to find the 114 proof these days. Bulleit Rye Booker/Bakers/Basil Hayden (Old Grand Dad's is made of a modified version of Basil's recipe, he is his grandson) Elijah Craig Dickel 12 Woodford
Too many beers to name, but drinking a Guinness Stout or Extra is like home to me. Love Dragon Milk stout by New Holland Gulden Draak Strong stouts, ales, lagers, Belgiums, and sours mostly. IPA was a fad drinking hundreds of different types at beer fests and micros but stouts rule all. I can do without IPAs.
If wine, then Cabernet.

Totally agree on the Devils Cut. good Bourbon at a good price. The Jim Beam Black is another I buy quite often.
