Very interesting that you're going for the Yachtman. It's not often you get them. But such a beautiful shape!

Very interesting that you're going for the Yachtman. It's not often you get them. But such a beautiful shape! The first one in my collection was a Savinelli Alligator chosen for me by my youngest daughter several years ago, but the 904s/9004s have recently become a collecting obsession. Only two out of the set were purchased new, as I enjoy hunting down old pieces and restoring them. Right now, I have a Savinelli Partner De Luxe 904 on its way to me from Italy.

Here are three recent additions to the Castello collection. The kkkk Collection shape 15 GG is from an online dealer and I picked up this fumed top Old Antiquari NS 215 with a flared green stem on eBay. And the third is a kkkkk Trademark shape 30 at the 2017 GKCPC Pipe Show. The 15's shape is different from most of the other big square 15's in the collection but I grown to love it. I really value and will pay a premium for colored stems especially the green ones and I really over paid for this piece but I was very surprised when I got it that it was smaller than the other NS215's I have from this carver. What I thought was a regular green pearl swirl stem was very different, it doesn't really show in the (crappy) photo but it's a lighter green with what looks like red swirled in. I thought I have seen it all but this stem is very unique to the colection! The red Trademark is a very good example of my favorite pipe shape. The only thing this piece needed to be perfect (IMO of course) is a sharper crease on the oval shank.
