This Torben Dansk is one of the first estate pipes I bought. Maybe the first, I can't recall. It is a sweet smoker, but not the easiest to hang onto for my sausage fingers.

That is pure theft Don - look at that grain. Wowzers! I was thrilled to snag it. Probably would have paid 3-4 times that for it.

The 'Brage' is a great pipe; this is 'The Flying Saucer'. Not nearly as nice-grained as yours, though. It was supposedly designed by Poul Winsløw in the early 90s.

Thanks Jesper! I never knew what that model was called. You're most welcome, Don. I think it was one of a series, where the models all had names from Nordic mythology. I just nicknamed mine 'The Flying Saucer'.

My humble BBB collection. In the fifties and sixties, BBB was the most popular brand in Denmark and it was the holy grail to us pipe-smoking kids in the mid-sixties, but of course we couldn't afford one. I have had a soft spot for them ever since. My father went from pipe to cigars in the late sixties, so he gave me his, a Silver Grain, which can be seen as the first in the second row. The first row are all Christmas pipes; the first one from 1959.

Stan, those are some great looking pipes. Pretty cool you have one of your dad's pipes.

Beeper, not so humble. That is a fine collection. I'd have any one of them.

Stan, those are some great looking pipes. Pretty cool you have one of your dad's pipes. Thanks very much. I've got one more, a little Corsica Elite made in France. It was given to my father back in 1936 by a friend. I found a picture of him smoking it. The picture is no later than 1964. The brewery that made the beer, closed down that year.

My lost Willmer. I don't know where she went. Afraid I might have unintentionally put her in with some pipes I swapped with a restorationist. What a great smoker!
