My mom wouldn't let me read comics growing up because she considered them 'low class', but when I went over to Robert's house I did. I liked the Fantastic Four, because it was unintentionally hilarious. There was the big strong dude (useful superpower), stretchy guy, who could get the damsel out of the burning building or become a bridge for the others to cross, girl who could become invisible, but the best one was the dude who's superpower was he could light himself on fire! Worst superpower ever.
What was fun about the comic was, in each one, they had to come up with a situation where lighting yourself on frigging fire was the solution. It was hilarious.

I had subscriptions to a dozen comics when I was a kid, but Fantastic Four was far and away the most entertaining.

I have a bunch of those... on napkins, on envelopes, on backs of pages, on strangers, dogs, cats, and a mural or two on an elephant.

Don't forget Sonic . I was five weeks away from having twenty-one years on the Sonic books when Sega pulled the license. I'm hoping the new publisher will hire me so I can continue with the characters. I had the longest run on an action character of any artist in the last quarter century.

I like the stylized take on Archie's small half-surfboard. Subliminal message there?

Thanks for the homework, Lady Margaret. That is the classic Archie artwork that has changed little from the Sixties.

As to the pipes, I am sure there is a law somewhere that Hiram Lodge should always have a pipe in his mouth. I'll get my lawyers on that.
