Not a pipe show in the conventional sense...just a centrally located weekend in a pipe friendly environment... Maybe the summer of 2019 so as to get plenty of time to save up and prepare.
My initial thought is Colorado Springs... the weather there is beautiful, it is a great venue where there are a ton of things to do nearby, and a top notch tobacco shop, great hotels, great dining, and inexpensive options for those on a budget.
Your thoughts?
When I speak of great things to do nearby, I mean Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Cheyenne Canyon, Cripple Creek, Manitou springs, NORAD, Air Force academy are all an easy drive...and that is just scratching the surface.

Yo trai Not to mention the fabulous ffishing. hp les Les, a Colorado State trooper sent me packing in 1999 for parking my rig along the interstate and doing some fly fishing....told me to move that "bastard" piece of crap off the the berm of his highway and don't ever let him catch me fishing like that again!

I think his intention is that it's almost a "meet in the middle" location for most of the US and with a nice place with tons to do. Several people in Arizona, several in PA and NC, NY, I'm in Indiana but I'll be there in Colorado in a few months time. It's a good idea anyway but of course a handful of people would have to travel a good distance no matter where it's at.Kansas would be about as dead center as possible, but then you're just in Kansas. No offense.

I had a great family reunion there earlier this summer.....but still, your point is well taken.
The reason that i suggested Colorado Springs is that if you were to draw a circle around five states in the center of the country, I think that one would be hard pressed to find a nicer venue...Not so humid for outdoor activities and the elevation makes for cooler outdoors.
But at this point, it is hypothetical....lets see if it grows legs.

It's not a bad idea, but I do think there would be some struggle for the guys/gals in the NE and SE.
The other alternative, is to try and coordinate it with an existing pipe show, like the KC or Columbus show. Essentially have our TBP meetup, and support one of our few remaining pipe shows at the same time.
It could be done with Chicago as well, but that one is a bit more pricey to stay at.

Charlie just wants it in Colorado so he can add to his green leaf cellar.

Probably not a bad idea.... The guys in the southeast are pretty sloshed hanging out with Jimmy Buffet, and the guys from the northeast...9 months of winter sitting in a cabin drinking vodka and eating salted fish...probably best just to cut them out of the festivities....

Not trying to highjack or blow smoke but for you US Continental NE SE pipes, I live pretty central in Baltimore, MD. We could see which shops would want to host us and get the local clubs to back it. There's at least three clubs. Five to six pipe shops. Annapolis, MD also had some sights.

KC or Chicago might not be too bad. Meet at a big pipe show and get to know each other better. Could be fun. Plus I could pester Jim for some artwork if he shows up. 🤡

the KC pipe show sounds like a good idea. The Colorado Springs one would need to be in cooler weather (as in, not mid-80s and above) because hubby would want to camp out, lol.

I love meet ups. He had a pretty good TBP crowd around a double table on the bar patio in Columbus this past weekend. We even phoned in JimInks.
