Yesterday I got stung by a wasp on leg a couple times, near and around the Calf, swolle up, wife gave me Benedryll, slept most of the day, Swelling down this morning, made coffee, slipped out to Barn to do a little round-up,of drive way culverts and around Mailbox. That damn wasp got me again on the same leg, went in barn got pressure sprayer and saw where the wasp nest was under the lip of the house, made a promise You gonna die tonight you SOB. Filled sprayer with water, poured in round-up, pumped sprayer about 6 times and POWW, the damn thing split in Two. I never had that happen, it's only 2 yrs old. Knowing it wasn't my day, I'm drinking coffee in my recliner typing this out. Ain't gonna do nothing today as I'm Wasp Bit.😳

Dang! I feel for you Brother,I've been stung enough times that I've developed an allergy to wasp stings.I've had them just drop the liquid on my skin and it caused a reaction.Rest up, smoke up!, and get better.

Just remember: The only good wasp is a dead wasp. I personally use one of those spray cans of insecticides that shoots 20 feet or the pressure washer I use for cleaning the siding on the house once a year.

I feel for you brother. I am in constant battle with yellowjackets. They are my nemesis, having been mass stung on at least six occasions in my life, going back to age six. Get well.

Heal up. Sorry for your bad run of luck. There pesky up here too. Have several nests under the eaves and they will even build nests in any available cavity in a vehicle, that is parked for a few days. Don got it right with that posted Pic.

I had a buudy that was a copter driver when I lived in California...he would call me and tell me to go to dinner and get a hotel, I would close the house up while he sprayed it with Malathion and ate dinner and smoked a cigar at the hotel.
Apocalypse now for bugs.

I shrug it off and the pain only lasted a few minutes. Went back in the next day and the little F-er's did it again. Well needless to say I got some wasp spray and saturated there nest and they've left me alone since. Let's face it, some days it's just not worth getting out of bed too early.

When I get a yellowjacket nest where I can reach it, I go out on a cool morning and pop the nest off with a scraper. Then it's stompin time! They are too sluggish to fly or fight. I only spray when they are up too high. If they are in the ground or under concrete, it is gasoline and a match. Two of my kids have allergic reactions to wasp stings, so they get no quarter. After you have been stung about 100 times you develop what can only be summed up as intense hatred for anything that stings. Every time I have been mass stung, I am minding my own business and get ambushed because I pass by or accidentally disturb a nest. One time, I was collecting firewood in the early morning, while camping and got near a nest. It was just warm enough that they were flying. About ten stings in, I tripped and fell head over heels down a rather rocky hillside. I limped into camp with blood running down my arms and legs and scared my wife pretty good. As I was washing the blood off, one little bastard, who must have hitched a ride, nailed me right in the middle of the back. Much cussing ensued. I keep wondering if I will ever become allergic to them. One got me right in the jugular another time. Instant migraine. Me hates 'em.

I was in Pest Control for 22 years. The first 14 years,I never got stung nor bit. Found out the hard way,the quickest way to get stung was to walk under their nest with a lit cigarette. That happened twice.Second time sent me to the ER with what I can only describe as an electric tingle everywhere.Since then I've had reactions severe enough to have me curled up on the floor. But,,,I REPEAT,,,BUT,I take great pleasure in hunting out their nests and killing them.Loads of fun using "Hot Shot" to shoot them out of the air one at a time.(To the extant my Brother-in-Law took the spray cans away from me) What is also fun,use a soap/water spray to knock em to the ground, and as don says,it's STOMPING Time.

Stung by a hornet in 1990 in Papaw's cattle barn and had an anaphylactic shock episode. Pretty nasty. VA issues me a two pack of Eppy pens every year, $25 co-pay. I know a lot of people are down on the VA; however, I love the level of care I receive here in Louisville, no complaints.
More people die on an annual basis due to bites from flying critters than those which crawl on the ground. Not much anyone can do about it except carry on.

Started popping Benedryl, like 8 of them. By the time I got to the hospital they just kept feeding me more, along with cortisone. Benedryl took place of adrenaline. After that and a bout with poison ivy, my MD kept me in cortisone packs and creams. Bees don't affect me too bad. My stepdad never had issues with the VA either.

Rest up, buy a new sprayer and whoop some wasp butt!
I can relate to this. I am allergic to bees and there has seemed to be a plot against me by bees most of my life. WV gals tend to go barefoot a lot, and it wasn't any fun playing outside in the yard unless I could feel the grass on my feet. Needless to say, I tend to get stung on the foot. One summer I stepped on a bee, my foot swelled up like a ham, I hobbled around for a week. My foot finally got back to normal in about two weeks and danged if I didn't get stung again. Mom takes this opportunity to say again "This wouldn't happen if you were wearing shoes." So, I started wearing shoes, after the swelling went down again. But just a few weeks later I was outside playing, wearing shoes, and dagnabit if one of the little buggers didn't fly into the top of my shoe and sting me. At that point I was like screw it, they are going to get me whether I wear shoes or not, I might as well be comfortable.

When I was a young'en I too went barefoot and stepped on a bee one day, hurt like the dickens but, I remember what grandad told me about stick'en it in mud to draw the poison out. Found some mud right away and stuck it in it and sure enough within a matter of seconds the pain was gone and I went on play'en but, avoided the grass the rest of the day.

This weekend is Elimination Round for these guys! 🦂 Ouch, Darin! Much worse than a 🐝yellowjacket, or even a dozen of them. Glad I only have to watch out for 🦂scorpions🦂 while on vacation. I still have the habit of shaking out gloves and checking my hat, banging shoes together, etc., from growing up in Texas. A friend of mine got bit by a brown recluse 🕷spider last week and is still trying to heal. He is going to have an ugly crater in his foot. Time to go 🕊dove hunting and 🐍rattlesnake dodging next week.
