I didn't even know that the movie existed, so I guess it must have bombed...But I have to admit, there are quite a few movies that weren't sucessful that I liked...and I always like Michael Keaton's acting...he did a great Batman. I see it is on Netflix....

For what it's worth, Mark Knopfler produced a great tune about Ray Kroc...I see that some of the lines are said in the movie...never figured out why this song didn't become a number 1 hit....Maybe there is a Kroc Kurse?
I regularly go into our San Bernardino terminal...and sing "Going to San Bernardino, ring-a-ding-ding"...but no one has ever figured out...or they do a good job of acting ignorant.

Noticed that one recently on Flix and wanted to check it out ... maybe tonight! My cousin and her husband recently sold their 4 McDonald franchises in IL, CHACHINNNG!! LOL In 1977 I worked in a mom and pop spring factory in Wichita Kansas, since my senior year I only went to school a half day. The owner was toying with the idea of buying a Mc Donald's franchise for 250k, but he was blown away by the price...that was just the right to join the club, not the cost of building the business...and that was '77 dollars! Your cousin should probably adopt me....I am housebroken, and only smoke Virginia's indoors.

LOL ... they'd take you over me most likely!
Back to Michael Keaton ... I really liked some of his more serious roles back in the day. Pacific Heights and Clean, Dry and Sober come to mind ... he was a great psycho in PH.

"The Founder" is on my Netflix DVD list. Looking forward to it.
Keaton was great in "Clean and Sober".
"Jackie Brown" was another great role. He played a DEA SA.
Can anyone imagine "Bettlejuice" without him?

After watching that movie, I decided that I would NEVER be a landlord....One of my co-workers actually had a Keaton like renter...very bizarre, it took him 20 minutes to tell his whole story, it was friggin insane.... no landlording for me.

Saw it this weekend ... well done!
I didn't realize that Nick Offerman was in there as well and enjoyed him just as much as Keaton.

I saw the Founder movie and really liked it. Did not know Ray Kroc was such a crock or was that crook!! I finally watched it with the wife, her first comment was "I don't know I wouod I ever want to eat there again"..(It is extremely rare that we ever do) The real McDonalds family members probably piss on Kroc's grave. Whataburger is based out on Texas has restaurants here, waay better than any Mcburger, and we have In-N-out also.It sounds like Grandpa instilled something money cannt buy for his family..class and character. www.cbsnews.com/news/the-real-founder/
