If you look at my avatar it is a picture from a book written in the 1700's. The hand is Death and the balance scales show that when one dies the pleasures of the king are equal to the pleasures of a man and his pipe!

While smoking some Carter Hall in a Dr Grabow last night, I pondered how many tons of CH have been smoked in DRG pipes over the decades. I often have such earth shattering musings whilst puffing away, it's what makes pipe smoking pleasurable.

I don't know if I have experienced so called pipe nirvana but, when I settle down with a good smoke, nice refreshment, football or baseball on the tube, and my good woman beside me, nothing could be finer.
