So, hubby took his camera and was busy snapping away at the pipes he liked, from a craftsmanship point of view. He was quite impressed that each person he asked if he could take pictures of their pipes enthusiastically told him YES! I'm posting each photo separately to boost my post count and make it easier for those who just want to comment on a particular pipe, lol. This was hubby's favorite:

All the pipes in this thread are pretty durn cool, but this one is awesome ... it's a pipe that is smoking a pipe!

it would be even cooler if smoke came out of the pipe's pipe

it would be even cooler if smoke came out of the pipe's pipe Yeah I thought that too. LOL It would be pretty close to impossible though. It would mean having a hole in the side of the bowl which would most likely lead to a burnout.

Here is a pipe I had for just over 30 years. Purchased in Israel, hand carved from Alpha pipes. Itβs never been smoked. A flawless piece of Algerian briar ππ

That's the most figural carved briar pipes I've seen! Neat! I'm used to seeing most figural work on meerschaum pipes !!

Great photos all of great pipes. A Ulysses S. Grant pipe, no less. If they had one of Robert E. Lee...
