Had a Bowl of Peter Stokkbye Pistachio in my GBD this afternoon. I am typically not drawn to aromatics but I do enjoy the occasional nutty aromatic, Peter Stokkbye Pistachio and Lane Hazelnut are two of my favorites. You need to give Low Country Hazelnut a try. About half the price and twice as good. Thanks for the recommendation. I will definitely try that. |

Relaxing after a wonderful shrimp and sweet corn dinner along with a warm chocolate eclair dessert, and am almost half way through this bowl of Dan Tobacco DaVinci in a medium bend smooth paneled 2017 Turkish Meerschaum with a gold and black swirl acrylic stem. Watching the Pirates-Cubs game.

It's been an all-day tour of the Shire for me. I spent most of the day trying to kill my pouch of Just For Him- Longbottom Leaf and now, in my cups, I've moved on to Shortcut To Mushrooms. Love this blend. It's one of those rare English-Aros. Requires no thought. Just smooth vanilla, tobacco, and a passing dose of Latakia- Just enough to intrigue the palate, yet my den still smells wonderful.

Less hectic Friday on the West Coast of the Dark Continent (I hope). Still on the cobs, I started this smoking day with ODF RR in a MM Legend. Feeling decidedly nutty today, so work smokes will be Sturks Tobacconist's Nutty Unscented in a couple of cobs until I knock off work.

I smoked some C&D Burley Flake #3 in the Butz-Choquin duo Dublin pipe about 4 hours ago with some water along side.
I am about to light up some SG Scottish Autumn Flake in the Rattray's Highland #5 pipe with a can of Modern Times Critical Band IPA along side (first time trying this beer, and haven't had Scottish Autumn Flake in almost a year).
