Part way through this bowl of year 2002 Wessex Sovereign Curly Cut in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Work is done for the day, and I'm relaxing now.
Hectic Friday ahead at work, so what's new? Started September off with C&D Bayou Morning in the Goussard workshop poker, followed immediately by a bowl of SWR in a pYp (Goussard second) blasted little dublin with orange cumberland stem. Coffee and more coffee...
Now smoking D&R Three Sails in a 1980s straight smooth Big Ben pot with a nickel band and a black vulcanite stem. I may finish the day with this smoke.
The winds are whipping up in the Ohio valley, had to use the shelter of the garage for a wind break. Good morning pipe pals I'm burning C&D Autumn Evening in a Norm Triptow billiard, enjoyed with a cup of joe. Stay safe
Half way through this bowl of Watch City Deluxe Crumb Cut in a 2016 PSF POY quarter bend black sandblasted Vermont Freehand egg with an aluminum band and a tortoise shell colored acrylic saddle stem. Simply Apple is my drink. Watching Have Gun, Will Travel. Suzy and Molly were happy to see me awake, passing me as I walked down the hall to the kitchen. I stopped to grab a smoke, and they were just so patiently waiting, that they started howlin' in the kitchen "Get your feet movin', slacker!" Nothing like positive reinforcement.
Now smoking Stokkebye Natural Dutch Cavendish in a 1970s medium bend smooth Ben Wade Golden Walnut freehand with a black vulcanite stem. Watching Andy Griffith.

This is my third attempt to smoke my first pipe of the day. I just set fire to a bowl of GLP Westminster in the second pipe I ever purchased: a rusticated Savinelli bent apple (?) with a 6mm filter and vulcanite stem. I bought this on MLK Day, 1997 from Barclay Rex. I only remember this because it was my second semester of my first year of law school. Despite smoking many aromatics for about 10 years, their are no lingering ghosts. It's unseasonably chilly in NY, and I was craving some Latakia.
