Good morning. .. it's good to be back. I felt feverish most of yesterday and throughout the night. I guess whatever it was ran its course. I'm starting my day with a bowl of Chelsea Morning in a Savinelli rusticated, bent billiard with a vulcanite stem. Glad you're feeling better, Sam. Enjoy Thanks David.

D&R Two Timer in the Savinelli Series III 622KS unfinished bent pot with a can of Coke.
I haven't smoked this pipe in a while, it's definitely a KS bowl ... thought I'd never finish loading it!

Relaxing after a wonderful pork chops and beans dinner with a bowl of the best durn tobacco made today: Strang in a 2003 smooth medium bend straight grain Ardor Venere Extra signed by Dorelio Rovera Dublin and a black acrylic stem. Watching the Braves-Marlins game. But on the morrow today is yesterday. Will you still say it's the best then? You won't toss it aside like an old rag? Nope! No chance. Now smoking Sam Gawith Medium Virginia Flake in a 2014 Savinelli Gaius smooth brown slight bend black acrylic stem and ferrule 320KS author. Watching Perry Mason before I go to work.

A normal blend baccy? Have you taken your temperature? All my blends are normal, they just have far more interesting names. Hahaha! Yeah, especially the Hoffa/Perique Special Edition with fried eggs.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Guess I better schedule in a little play time at some juncture.
Nice night. Crickets are out.

Just finished a bowl of Amphora Black Cavendish myself. Smoked in a nice bit of Fero briar. My first try at the Amphora tobacco, I like it. While I was sitting here enjoying the evening view of the mountains, I thought about improving that poor crude pipe holder. Then I remembered my nice carving knives and dug them out. I have a Carving Jack, a wonderful tool for small carvings, a complete carving set in a pocket knife form. I also have an old pocket knife of my grandfather's that I converted to a razor sharp, dedicated carving knife. A couple of years ago I started dabbling in wood carving small things. I found a little guy in the knife pouch when I retrieved the knife. Must finish him some day. He is watching over the pipe in this pic. He says he needs a pipe.

On the morrow I have my mind set on a very sweet aro to be named later in a Meer Calabash. Then, I want to try something like Prince Albert or Amphora, which were given to me.
I just got another order from Pipestud. It was a Middleton variety pack so I could get a grip on Hickory and original Walnut taste. It has a cognac one named Saga. Another Variety Pack I looked at has Whitehall, London Dock, Donnifor. I passed as I opted for a 14 ounce humidor filled with Bourbon Blend. I am liking Liquor blends finally. There is a Half and Half Barrel-Humidor there and one last Briggs Humidor wooden barrel left. I think that will be a treat. I think it's good for my blood pressure just thinking of this stuff.

Thanks David. I just looked at that pic again and realized the little fellow I carved is about the size of a pipe bowl. I may have to try carving a pipe. Hmmm...

I'll be interested to hear about the Hickory and Saga blends in particular. Never saw Saga for sale, but I do remember Hickory, though I never bought it. I'd also like whatever info is on the Saga tin because it's not listed at TobaccoReviews, and I'm like to change that.

Getting old sucks, you find yourself getting up at gosh awful hours. Really who bolts awake at 3:40 in the morning. Only one thing to do, grind some beans for coffee and load a pipe. Three Noggins because 7 Reserve is for people who have training wheels on their pipes. The pipe is the Spanu tan shell free hand at least I think it is sitting here in the glow of the computer monitor. The coffee is Starbucks Komodo Dragon with cream and real cane sugar none of that fake beet or corn syrup sugar for me. Join me later for more antics of the lifestyles of the poor and unknown.
