I began my smoking day with a bowl of D&R Two Timer Gold in a Larsen trumpet with an acrylic stem. I'm taking my son to his friend's birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese soon. good luck and godspeed! avoid the greasy cardboard they call pizza! Billy, I survived the party, despite a slice of cardboard, some cake and about fifty 8 year olds! Now smoking a well deserved bowl of GLP Union Square in the Larsen trumpet.

Today I tried some G L Pease Caravan in my new custom made bamboo pipe. The pipe is a sitter, tiny, but very smokable. A neat addition to my flock of pipes. Bamboo seems to be a viable pipe making material. I thought the Caravan would be a good match for the bamboo, and I was right. A very compatible, enjoyable pair.

Thanks to a kind gift of samples from David, I've just finished a bowl of 1936 Brigg's Mixture in an MM Country Gent. It was excellent. Smooth, nutty Burley with one of those mild honey toppings. It tasted better being from 1936 than the Prince Albert I've had from the 1970's. Very smooth and Burley and uncompromised. Can't believe David was sending me a small sample of original Hickory mixture and that turned into about 8 samples of blends I've yet to try. Thank you again, sir! Oh, and he sent a pipe I've got to figure out.

John Bull in a MM straight Rob Roy cob. I'm digging the European Vacation sampler from P&C. My beautiful bride came into my shop retrieve something from the deep freeze and immediately gave a enthusiastic two thumbs up on the fine aroma from the JB. I love her!
