I waited until I got to Santa Rosa, Ca. before I started partaking of Edgeworth extra high grade sliced....my, o my... what a wonderfully heavenly smoke... I smoked a bowl yesterday, when I went to bed last night, I had been awake for 32 hours. Drank an oilcan of Fosters lager.... lights out! . I woke this morning, and had a Sunday morning smoke, and sitting in the warm sun with a cool morning (by Phoenix standards).... wow, I found my desert Island smoke, but once the tin is empty, I doubt that I will ever run across any more.

wow, I found my desert Island smoke, but once the tin is empty, I doubt that I will ever run across any more. It's certainly not identical, but Wessex Burley Slices is said to use the same recipe that Edgeworth did. I can't verify that and I did note differences in a side by side taste test... but WBS is a very very good smoke. If you haven't tried it... I would give it a go.

There are several differences between the two blends, but the Wessex is the closest thing to Edgeworth Slices made today. Well worth buying. Note to Charlie: Pipestud occasionally has tins of ES for sale. Relaxing after enjoying some freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookies with a bowl of BriarWorks Int. Bacon Old Fashioned in a medium bend smooth paneled 2017 Celebi Turkish Meerschaum with a gold and black swirl acrylic stem. A bottle of Boylan's Root Beer made with pure cane sugar is my drink.

First smoke of the day is MacB Golden Extra in the Dr Grabow Westbrook. Wife and I had the rare opportunity to go out last night. I most definitely over did it. I've been awake since 8, but just now wanted to smoke a pipe.

McC Matured Virginia Navy Cavendish in the Lorenzo Atlante Chianti 513 bent sitter with a glass of ice tea.
I noticed after I had already loaded the pipe & was getting ready to post the smoke, that this will be my 513th post.
Man sorry to burst your bubble but when I read this post your post count was at 516. You missed that magical occurrence by three! Best burn of the weekend, SG St James Flake, well dried in a new 2017 Camenetto natural finish egg with the melted wax look, sipping CLST. Have a great week all...

The 1936 Briggs Mixture was gifted to me by David, who, as you may recall, was once sculpted by Michelangelo. Now smoking C&D Crooner in the very first pipe I ever bought ($2.49) in 1974; a smooth three quarter bend Dr. Grabow Omega with a black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink.
