Relaxing after a wonderful spaghetti dinner with a bowl of 2012 Anniversary Kake in a smooth medium bend 1979 Chippendale (Charatan second) Rhodesian 49 with a black vulcanite stem. Watching the Braves-Mets game with Sleepy Suzy by my side. Molly is running around the den trying to catch a little flying bug. She'll get it eventually because she never gives up1

Got a little sampler pack in the mail this afternoon. Working my way through that... currently trying Stokkebye Toasted Burley. Not bad. Justin I used that to make my jar of mixed cherry OTC tobaccos into something that turned out pretty darn good...i also used it in my jar of all things OTC vanilla with the same great results!

Smoking more C&D Crooner in the same pipe as before. The Blakemar Briars rusticated bent bulldog.
I very much like this pipe and its graceful shape and lines. I think I'll buy the smooth version next payday.
Drinking my icy tea as usual.

I stuffed some C&D Dark Fired Kentucky and their unflavored black cavendish, mixed about 50/50. The DFK is too strong and the unflavored black cavendish lacks flavor, so I mixed them and now have a toasty, smoky tobacco which is mild and smooth. I stuffed it into a Blakemar Briars full bent apple, or ball. I now have some cold beer,

Back to back bowls for me tonight. Up first was Red Wine Soup. I followed it with some Brokum Riff. A friend bought an aged tin of Borkum Riff from pipestud and I wanted to compare. The new is much more whiskey forward. I like the old better but neither one dropped me to my knees. Decent smokes I suppose if nothing else is around.

Brigadier Black Alamo in the Lavender Lady. Water from a dented plastic cola bottle (a brand as nondescript as the sedan The Shadow drove). No Bergs. Afraid the Jerries may hear them tinkling and discover our tunnel. If all goes well Hilda and I will meet at the Hoffbrau.
