Smoking some 2014 Orlik DSK in a Leonessa Briosa slight bent rusticated apple. Really have a bunch of samples from David I want to smoke but I've had a bit of a head cold the past 2 days so smoking something I know I can taste and get by with nicotine.

Started a bowl of Low Country Hazelnut, thanks to David, in an MM Country Gent. I had to stop it short for a bit because it was too much on the back of my throat for now. I will say that if you want that strong hazelnut/amaretto flavors to really carry right into the smoke, you guys really gotta try C&D King Cake. King Cake is really, really good and through and through it actually tastes like King Cake as far as tasting to the heel of the bowl like a baked good of hazelnut and amaretto. It's even got Oriental leaf in it and surprised me. I'll pick up this bowl of Hazelnut later tonight.

Has anyone tried using whole leaf tobacco ? I started about 2 yrs. ago and like the results. I use pruning shears to cut them up but have to be careful not to lop off a fingertip..seriously !...You can buy shredders but I'm too cheap to buy one...I enjoy the cutting...Aromatics / matured Virginias etc. would be hard to do but English / Balkan types come out well...My favorite so far is lemon Virginia, Yenidje and latakia...Kinda' reminds me of Presbyterian Mixture...I stocked up on leaves as well as quite a few Dunhill tins...I should be all set if Pipe Tobacco prices ever skyrocket..The leaf tobacco averages around $17 a lb. which really appeals to me...The blends tend to be good from the start but I do have some jarred from up to 2 yrs.... Happy Smokes !

Not sure what I will do. Maybe save it until the Apocalypse and I can trade it to Zombie Preppers for my life

Balkan Sasieni in a stanwell rusticated billiard. Earlier, I had some Mcclelland townsman black in a BBB Medina bulldog. Both are great smokes. What I find funny is that I tend not to favor either cavendish or latakia.
