D&R Rimboche A.P. in a 1970 Savinelli 620 Classica blasted Oom Paul. This is a perfect tobacco in every way. Moisture, ribbon cut, blending skill, and savory. It just makes my mouth water and it's such a good VaPer. I put off getting anything by Daughters & Ryan for so long and all the blends I've tried so far are excellent.

PS Luxury Bullseye Flake in a John Blunt Number 11 Billiard. This concludes a difficult day dealing with a demented senior citizen neighbor and the havoc which has befallen her family. Very sad.

A wee bit of Piccadilly in a Amphora. Just finished eating some Pinto beans that I have been working on all afternoon. Neighbor Dan comes over says. Make me some beans he was holding a pound of Hatch Chili Bacon. I got no propane. He comes back with a Crock Pot. Cant make beans only have Kidney beans. He comes back with a sack of Pintos, he probably went door to door knowing Dan. Cant make beans in a Crock pot have to use Griswold cast iron pot that has been passed down for generations. Swearing under his he leaves and comes back with a 5lb propane tank, probably stolen. So really I had no choice except to make beans that were probably looted with propane that is probably stolen. Thank gosh I did have a great big onion, bell peppers and all the spices I needed. Don't have the heart to tell him I don't have the makings for cornbread. Rednecks are fun pets but can turn deadly when hungry.

Enjoying the Holiday weekend with the family. Took my usual "home to visit" trip to the B&M yesterday. Always a good time and nice to see the guys.
Been puffing on this SWRA I picked up. Really enjoying this blend. It's been beating out the two other mainstream blends that I brought with me.

juice/meds at this desk, DGT '06 BestBlend in gourd calabash in smoking room. Raining so can't go out on my 2-miles power walks with a no-band 6x42
while waiting for da Mrs to come downstairs so I can feed us....wasting time trying to delete some messages on our FB page. To us, FB is a totally evil place, can't find anything, pushing every button I can find, can't get rid of stuff. If it weren't for the need to see pics of our combined grands, couple great grands...I'd try to send the %&()_ thing, all of it, to outer space.

I've been smoking VIP and Rimboche AP back and forth and I personally give the nudge to A.P. , but they are both very, very good. I'll smoke three bowls in a row of one, then the other here recently while working. I'm currently smoking some Smoker's Pride Rich Taste in an MM Country Gent.

Still far too early to tell, they say, about the prediction models for fast-growing hurricane Irma. The historically most reliable of the major models has Irma making a direct hit on South Florida as a cat 4 or even a 5. The official U.S. model (GFS) is growing closer to the European. Even at this early point it's not a good thing. Each year the same thing. Most of the time they turn away from us or just come close, but sometimes they come right at us. Anyhoo, this morning is sunny if hot and humid as is usual this time of the year, but no significant rainfall expected today. So, a good Sunday morning to all. My first bowl after breakfast is some of the EGR/H&H mix in the Savory's Argyll 286 billiard.

Changed the bowl on thevFalcon and loaded it with Modern Virginia Loose Cut 2014. Will enjoy that after brunch with Simply Orange to drink. Watching old James Bond movies with Sean Connery, my favorite 007.
