Well I tried WH Bar Green and I did not die! I did find it pleasant and nowhere as nasty as the Condor I tried so many years ago. I did notice a slight tongue coating but overall this blend is not something i would refuse. Not in my wheelhouse but in no way did I find it objectionable and even though after smoking it I did myself a little heady I must say it was a very interesting change of pace and maybe someday I will buy a tin.

Never got to the Green ... Red was already pretty heavy in the topping department.

Let that puppy breath for awhile after rubbing it out ... the tonquin / coumarin is pretty heady! I dried some of the Red out and made a little snuff. It smelled A LOT like S.G. Elmo's Reserve which is known for it's tonquin scent.

Damn, this sounds like something I'd really like. Similar to 1792?
The nic strenght makes me wary, though.

1792 lasted 1/2 bowl and was promptly discarded

I have a tin of red Bar open and would be willing to mail a "chaw" to anyone interested. Shot me a PM. I may even have a green open but would have to wait until Thursday to know for sure.

Damn, this sounds like something I'd really like. Similar to 1792? The nic strenght makes me wary, though. The War Horse Bar (red) is the only of the two I've tried and I thoroughly enjoy it. I detect much more Valerian root flavoring but detect some tonquin in there too. The nicotine level punches above a brown twist and is definitely one of the strongest nicotine full blends on the market so it's gonna sock it to you. I have a sealed tin of 1792 but I still haven't tried it so I can't compare yet. Wanting to eventually try that green bar.

Peter, I tried Condor in the late 90's when driving truck. I was gifted several plugs and 6 pipes from a friend living in Kent England. The pipes were so ghosted and the Condor so bad I tossed everything in a trash can along the Oklahoma turnpike. Shudders at that memory!

I'm a big fan of CONDOR, and also both Warhorses... suits my taste.

Gotta tell ya, I hated the ready rubbed, in fact I couldn't give it away fast enough but, the green was something special. No not special like in a finely aged tin of Escudo but, more like a change as Mike said and I did enjoy the Licorice Anise flavoring. Have two more tins of it and I'm going to try aging one for about 5 and see what becomes of it.

I have not tried the green yet. But I have tried the red and I really liked it. Have to take it slow though, or mix it with something else because it is very strong.

I'm smoking Green right now. A suggestion to those who do pen a tin. Jar it after opening, pack it loosely and sip it. It is not an allday smoke but a relaxing evening repast.

Mike...all kidding aside, many tobaccos are not for everyone...and you're right...Condor will ghost...however, I'm thankful that we still have many choices!
