No picture, but for lunch today, I made a faux cottage pie from leftovers of mashed potatoes and green peas with some freshly browned ground beef/pork, onions, and garlic. All was done on the stovetop, so it was missing a bit in texture and browning of the potatoes.

I just started a pot of chili, but looking over the cuisine of Ferncourt, chili seems quite drab.

How's it taste? I find salt helps, and a good dose of scotch.

Wow ferncourt, looks like you know how to cook!
19 years ago my wife and I went out for our first date on Valentine's Day. I always end up playing gigs on this holiday so we went out a day early to a French restaurant attached to, you'll never guess, a Hotspot gas station. It's a top notch restaurant and it was amazing. We shared a seafood bouillabaisse and surf and turf.

crapgame Put the bones on now and get the chuck roast later. phonomet The closest I came to making bouillabaisse is gumbo. I make a mean gumbo, but I've never met a cook who makes gumbo who doesn't think his/hers is the best.

Mixed up a little recipe that I have been making lately. Very healthy, great for keeping the protein up when you are on a workout schedule. Really tasty too.
1 lb. 93% lean ground turkey 1 medium onion 1 orange bell pepper 1 can of black beans 1 pouch brown boil in bag rice 1 packet of Old El Paso fajita seasoning 2 cloves garlic Salt, pepper, Franks Red Hot
Boil rice. Chunk cut onion and pepper and fry with a bit of olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. Add garlic. Add beans to warm them. Cook turkey and add fajita seasoning. Dump onions, pepper and beans into skillet with turkey. Dump rice. Add several dashes of Franks Red Hot. Mix. Serve
This will make enough for a weeks worth of lunches and maybe even a few snacks. Good stuff.
