The other day, Lady M sent me a PM asking what tobaccos I liked, to send me a random CARE pack for no reason at all. I said now I'm earning, I don't mind and that would be great. She said she'd be sending me tobaccos she didn't like. Once you see the quality of the tobaccos in the pic, you may be like me and think she was lyin' to be sweet. Who doesn't like Early Morning Pipe? I was able to send her a measly two ounce bag of D&R Picayune, because it burns me tongue and I couldn't smoke it. Now I feel pretty guilty, but wait till I start getting paychecks  Here's the pic:  That's a big bag of Dunhill Aperitif, which I haven't tried, and I love Dunhill, some EMP, which everyone likes, some Northwoods, C&D Bourbon Blue, Black Frigate and SPC Potlatch, none of which I've even heard of, an awesome bag of Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky, which I adore, and some Rattray Wallace Flake, which I bet I'll love. Then, to top it all off, a big purple cob! I love cobs, and I don't think MM sells purple ones, so she may have done that herself. Thank you very much, M'Lady. Can't decide if I'm doing the Aperitif or Orlik first |

Had to smoke the big purple cob and went with the Aperitif, because that was the biggest bag. Definitely one of the best things I've ever smoked. It's Lat heavy, which I like, but there's so many other things in there it's really balanced. Dunhill describes it as a complex blend of Virginias, Cavendish, Latakia and Oriental Leaf. Man, thanks Lady M!

That there are some great smokes...I like that purple cob, it reminds me of what the joker in Batman might smoke...pretty cool.

Yeah, the purple, sparkly pipe kinda ruins my Sherlock Holmes fantasy as I thoughtfully puff away and stare into the fireplace, so I sniff a snort of snuff I got from trailboss, and it's back.

i've been in the woods away from internet so i'm just now finding these threads, lol. so glad you liked your goodies! some of those I did like (but not the Dunhills) and simply split them with you  AND, that purple cob should light up under a black light. I'm getting addicted to painting cobs

Told you guys.
Lights up under a black light?? What the hell? The only time I've ever owned a black light was in high school, and I also had a bright strobe. We'd turn the lights out and put the black light and strobe on, so you'd see still, random flashes of weirdness. Would probably freak me out now.

What is not unique to this group, is that I miss several members when they don't post for a couple days. Hint to LM.
What is unique to this group is the percentage of those I miss that take a day or two off. This forum is getting so much like family, and for me, a major part of my life.

yes, indeed! believe me, if i can figure out how to get internet at the cabin, it will happen. i hate being separated from you guys. we have to go back for a week the beginning of October to get gutter up befor winter.
