As some of you know my wife does hair at a local nurseing home. There is this fellow James my age, a Army Vet who I have been helping thru the years, no family and a quiet dignified Man. I asked my wife for a James report, she said James is sad his Nintendo cube you've been buying games for has burned up. I got on EBay and bought him an almost new one. She said his clothes are threadbare, his watch is held up by a string and his shoes are spent. I went in my closet and found some good shirts I don't wear anymore and piled them on the sofa. I told her buy him a new watch, his shoe size was the same as my Grandson who moved out when he quit college, 3 pair 2 new, a dress pair and 2 sneakers. At the end of the week she brought him his package. He was so happy she said, put the sneakers on and thru his old pair in the trash. That's my small part in this world to help out, wish I could do more, one step at a time.

Bradley wins the internet. One of the most generous posters on here, from which I also have benefited. Good news for sure.

I can add a little more good news to this thread. About a week ago my wife found a pair of old prescription eyeglasses in the pickup. I tried them on but my eyes had changed over the years. While I working outside the park maintenance man asked me to be on the lookout for his eyeglasses as he had lost them. The wives started talking about the cost of new glasses and reminded me of the old pair we found. I went into the house and quickly cleaned the lenses and then gave them to Don. As luck would have it he claimed he could see good out of them. The wives got together and found out the prescription was a match. Coincidence or a small miracle good things happen every day.
