After several SG tries I am really only impressed with two: Grousemoor and Bothy Flake. Bothy when I want a mouthful of wet hay and Grousemoor when I feel like sucking flowers.
antb, can you share the names of a few blends you can get there? I assume Goussard's and Stanwell's. Anything not seen here?

Anything not seen here? Really? You can't get into St. James Flake, Full Virginia Flake, Best Brown Flake, or Golden Glow? I find all 4 to be excellent smokes. Picky (i.e. Your taste buds, your hydration level, the correct pipe, and the "full moon component" need to be in play), but excellent smokes.

Oh no David, you do not want to try SA OTC's . 99% of what I smoke is imported. Only better stuff freely available here are the Borkum Riffs (if you can call them better, ) some Amphoras, the Peterson's and some Planta bulks at the few B&M's. My local B&M imported some Sam Gawiths some years ago and that started my love affair with decent tobacco. BTW, Goussards and Stanwells are my favorite pipes, not tobacs

David, if you're really interested look under Van Erkoms, Leonard Dingler and Sturk's Tobacconists on tobaccoreviews.com. Makes me think, it's about time JimInks receive some hate mail from the Dark Continent to review

My favorite SG blends so far couldn't be farther apart on the spectrum: 1792 and Firedance Flake. There are quite a few I haven't tried that sound up my alley, though - especially Westmoreland, Perfection, Sam's, Bothy, Navy, and Balkan. I have tins of most of them, waiting, beckoning....
