In Prey you are on a space station that has been overtaken by Aliens. There are tons of locked doors and numerous levels to explore as you level up you can increase your skills with neuromods. The game is really immense and takes about 60 hours to explore and complete. You are rewarded for exploring and doing side missions and really this is more a thinking mans game. I give it a 8 out of 10 and it does have replay value a pretty good deal for 30 bones. You will need a good dedicated video card on PC as the graphics are very demanding.

Sounds similar to No Man's Sky, which I have temp given up on. With the attention level of a diseased gnat it has to deliver right away. I am too slow to automatically know what the five year old down the street knows. I will look into yours. David

No fancy mouse moves here or keyboard pounding more of a think before you act vs run and gun. Free Demo on Steam to try before you buy, yes free. You cant beat free, well sometimes you can.

BioShock and System Shock 2 had a Bethesda baby The reviews agree with your 8, and I like the thinking and imaginative puzzle solving. Re: the system requirements, the minimum is an i5@3.4 with a GeForce GTX 660, and the recommended an i7 Sandy Bridge Quad at 3.4, with at least a 4GB GeForce GTX 970. I'll pick it up for $19.95, after I have the spare $850 to build my new gaming machine PS BTW, on newegg right now, you can get a PCIx 3.0 x 16 GTX 1050 Ti for $154; not a bad deal if you have a 3.0 x 16 slot.

Twin 780's in SLI a rendering beast + I like to keep my feet warm. Looking real hard at Ryzen the newer games are really multi threading now. Prey will play on the old media center with twin GTX560 and old three core Phenom unlocked to 4 cores not to bad for a hundred dollar set up 45fps. Prey is not nearly as demanding as Fallout 4.

I'm on my backup pc I bought to sell on eBay, just for surfing and email Went with a frigging AMD; won't make that mistake again, but I was going to sell it. Here's what I'm going to do when I get the spare bucks (if something better isn't out then): $310 i7-6700 6th Gen Skylake Quad at 3.4 $154 GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 Since my legal copy of windows 7 is Home Premium, all I can do is 16GB (2x8) of CORSAIR Vengence DDR4 2133 for $150. Add the mobo, 750W PSU and another SATA 750GB WD Blue for $76, and my total with everything and shipping is $849 (reusing my SATA 1TB, 750GB, case and DVD). I figure by that time, Prey et al will be down to $19.95, and I can also see what Witcher 3 looks like Just got an unused bigger Samsung monitor from parentals; went from a 20" 1600x900 to 22" 1920x1080, so am having to tweak everything again. PS SLId 780s don't suck

Windows 10 Pro is a easy download and a 5 dollar used license on Ebay or hell if you need key send me a PM. Your right on Prey it will be twenty in no time. Not sure why Witcher 3 is still at a premium , you could ride around on a horse in Skyrim years ago. People are unloading AMD 8350's and they work just fine for newer games. Real cheapo upgrade for a AM3 board. Intel's 7700k is a great chip if you still believe in single thread performance for gaming. I am kinda mad that Nvida wont let you SLI the newer cards unless they are a 1070 or better. Some crazy guy is probably soldering phone wire to two GTX1050 cards right now and making his own bios for the cards.

Did you get the free demo first to try David. Oh and what is that brightly shining key board you have in a few pictures.

You got that right. I will never, ever, ever install windows 10. Imagine if a home builder said, I will build you a home, but you agree at any time, without your consent or even knowledge, I can come in and take any of your private possessions, in your safe or under your mattress, and do with them as I will. I am also free to monitor everything that goes on in this house, to use as I see fit. Would you buy that house? I won't do windows 8 because it sucks, nor 10 because of the privacy policy they don't even try to hide in legalese. Not getting a pair of 1070s or better (and a mobo that'll accept them) is a budget decision; if I had an unlimited budget, hell yeah! $850 for a Skylake Quad and a 1050 Ti based system should be adequate for a bit At least until Half Life 5 comes out! NOTE: Half Life 5's never coming out.

I hate loading up demos. The Keyboard is a Magegee. A couple top keys kept falling off so I put on some blank ones. I only use a few Function keys, so no issue. Since I do my typing in bed I don't always had adequate lighting. A lighted KB does the trick

David the demo converts to full game when purchased and you don't lose your saves.

Yep Windeers 10 is spying on me and so is Google and every other search engine and the big one NSA and they didn't even ask. It must be exciting to watch a grumpy old man who watches TV and posts to this pipe forum. We all know the net is going to pay per click, greed and big money ruin everything(Hobie taught me that). But no worries if you want to jail me for downloading a torrent. Probably a better option than social security. There I was sitting on the bench. There were mother rapers and father stabbers and me a torrent downloader on Winders 10 and some guy named Arlo who was in for littering.

Dishonored 2 also has a free trial but the first one is a steal for 9.99. The only game I have paid full price for is Fallout 4 purchased pre release.
