If you can't send money, send tobacco.

Vermont Freehand sell various sized and shaped vulcanite and acrylic stems. Wow, they have nice stuff, but I'm looking for a Plug n' Play stem ready to go.

Plug and play would require you to sift through boxes of stems to find the right one, which isn't a friendly way to treat a pipe.
You will most likely either have to go the Vermont freehand route or send it off to a pipe repairman.
Michael Myers at Walker Briar works lists his prices.
( I wonder if the Grabow factory might assist?)

I would look for a Royal Duke on Ebay. They go pretty cheap, and if you find one with a good stem, it would probably cost less than a replacement stem alone.

It has no sentimental value, and at the moment I have a reed from a clay pipe I used to have stuck in it. Smokes pretty good, just doesn't look the best.

You can send your pipe to the Grabow factory in Sparta for a replacement stem. Last time I heard, it was $11 plus s&h.

Greg, do you know who made this Royal Duke? On another fourm I just saw an add for the Royal Duke line. The company was Continental Briar Pipe Co.that made them. Also have seen reference to Linkman/Dr.Grabow to this company.

Graybow charges $12 a stem plus $3 S&H. I just emailed them about a few Color Dukes I picked up.

For 15 dollars that's a heck of deal.
