So, we had a late dinner at Burger King and the music they were playing had some remakes of songs. Someone had remade The Monkee's Now I'm a Believer (just, no.) And then Paul William's Old Fashioned Love Song started, but didn't take us long to realize that was a remake too. ugh. But that got me thinking about his music and I remembered he did a guest spot on a cartoon my son used to watch (and yes, I enjoyed it too)
and of course I couldn't pass up listening to the song that introduced me to Paul Williams. Thank you, Jim Henson!
I believe that is the episode where Kermit made him an honorary Muppet, lol. He's had a long partnership with them.

Gotta love the guy who wrote the story and music for Phantom of the Paradise. Every song, though totally different sounding, was a take on the story Faust

Probably not noticeable, but I grew up a little less than what is considered normal by most Earthlings. The movie totally rocked, but then, as I type, I am still holding a newspaper over my head, flicking my Bic while watching Rocky Horror Picture Show for the hundredth time
In the velvet darkness Of the blackest night Burning bright There's a guiding star...

Great musical! I had a RHPS phase, too. Okay, I'll watch Phantom again, since it has the seal of approval from a fellow former Horror-ite.
