That's wonderful. I am also guessing you picked the doggie that needed you, too. Our present baby (3 YO) was in a shelter. I saw several pics of other doggies. I was drawn to Willy, though he was nothing like a new doggie I had in mind. Since we don't drive we had the shelter deliver him. They brought him in and he immediately went to a bed we had for him that was one of our earlier doggies'. He gave us a look like he was home. Xuan let him out the back and he immediately claimed the back yard. He was at a wild stage, but he grew into our home. We had two minpins, btw. One never left my arm for ten years. Blessings on your family and new addition. I would be remiss if I didn't sign off... Woof Woof!

My son also has Aspergers. I don't know what we would have done without his Italian Greyhounds. When his first one died he was 15 and wanted to break the world. Sophie is 12 now and he is 29. I think he will handle it better next time.

I remember when my 15 year old cattle dog looked like that, fuzzy puppy. I've appreciated him so much through the years. Sometimes after a rough day at work, his smiling face when I got home was the only thing which kept me from hanging myself in the backyard. Sorry about the loss of your baby. Hope y'all enjoy this cute little gal.

Sometimes after a rough day at work, his smiling face when I got home was the only thing which kept me from hanging myself in the backyard. Sorry abo ut the loss of your baby. Hope y'all enjoy this cute little gal. I can so relate to this post. Without going into a lot of details I would work 48-100 hours a week. 12-14 hour days. I felt like the above without repeating the words. I want to put this in "The Things You Never Say to Your Wife" Department. I came home one time and was asked why I was happier to see the doggies than my wife. Please, never say this: Well, if you would jump up and lick me in the nose I might... won't even finish it. I've had 5 or more careers over the years and the one that paid the best was where I cam home stinking of printers ink. The dogs didn't care or wait for me to clean up. Xuan and I are inseparable, but the love of a dog (or cats to some. I'm allergic) knows no bounds. Without getting too sentimental, the good shepherd takes care of his flock and so do we (as humans). Birds, too. Xuan feeds the birds three times a day all year long. I swear she has a name for everyone that visits our yard

Cute little guy. I recently saw a dog so adorable, I had to approach the owner. The breed turned out to be a Berger Picard. I always swore I'd be a pound-puppy kind of guy and avoid paying for a dog with so many already out there in need of a home, but I think I may have to go back on that at least this once. I melt when I see dogs with that shaggy mischievous look. And those giant pizza-slice ears! Hahaha. I need one. I'd post a pic, but I'm on my phone..
Hope you enjoy your new friend!

Congrats on your new fur baby!
Don't know what we'd do without our pound puppy Hank.
