Prince Albert in a cob. Classing up the joint. You know, the longer I am a pipesmoker, the more I am coming to appreciate burley. Any recommendations for good, Non-Aro Burley blends? Solani Aged Burley Flake, Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic (it's not that aromatic by comparison to other aros), Chatham Manor, Prince William, Smoker's Pride Rich Taste, Wessex Burley Flake, Sir Walter Raleigh, Match Briggs Mixture, 4Noggins Moe's Confetti, Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match (P&C doesn't have the Sutliff version, but Smoking Pipes does at a very good price), and Lane Limited Ready Rubbed (not quite as good as the Sutliff Match). Thanks, Jim! I copy and pasted them to the 'baccy roster'

I usually only have peach cobbler after barbecue. Do you know of any brisket flavored tobacco? Try Vermont Meat Pie I have tried Vermont Meat Candy. It doesn't have much meat flavor.

Listing this a few minutes early: C&D Bluegrass in a medium bend raw sienna toned early Radice sandblast egg with bamboo carving on the shank and a black acrylic stem. Listening appropriately enough to Doc Watson.

I'm back, albeit hesitantly. My first bowl since Hurricane Irma and after weathering a protracted bout with a cold/flu/whatever is from a recently rediscovered cellared jar of Sugar Barrel, in the Savinelli Silver 121 ks bent pot.

I have tried Vermont Meat Candy. It doesn't have much meat flavor. That was why I didn't recommend it, but it is a good aro. I think I will try topping some Vermont Meat Candy with a vinegar barbecue sauce like they use in the Carolinas to cover the taste of their meat. 😈

I spoke earlier about getting a taste for Burley and I got some great recommendations from our own JimInks. While doing some 'windows shopping' for some of these blends, I figured 'why not pack a pipe with the straight Dark Burley blending tobacco I bought from P&C some months back? About now I'm feeling like I could be in one of those commercials for Life Alert. 'I've smoked some Burley and I can't get up' Now I know why this is a 'blending tobacco'. In the words of Elvis "Only fools rush in" haha

In the words of Elvis "Only fools rush in" haha good stuff, innit? Brother... I think a fella could get tipsy just handling this stuff without gloves. haha That being said, it had great flavour like nuts and almost a mild, unsweetened banana and the room note was like pancake batter. I enjoyed it, but for the spins. It wanted to bite a little as well, but I reigned in the horses some and it was tamable. Not at all a bad tobacco, just really strong. With this stuff, one could transform any of their favourite blends into a nicotine monster without compromising the character of the original blend.

Started the afternoon with Five Bros in my Little Bing. Had what was left of my quart of coffee. Little Bing is a ten dollar beater that smoked like crap until I realized it had a false bottom. I had to dig the bottom out of it. It pales in comparison to Der Bingle, which is close to seven inches long. That was a cheap estate too, but a little cleaner. This one is a Firenzi or something. Eyes not good. Villiger Tropical Export and 7Seas Black after that. Been a good tobacco day and no complaints from Xuan. I have few spots on my body left for her to add bruises anyway.
