I have tried Vermont Meat Candy. It doesn't have much meat flavor. That was why I didn't recommend it, but it is a good aro. It, at least has a Savory taste to it. I don't get much out of Briar Works Bacon. Corn Cob Pipe & Button Nose is also savory, sort of like a butter popcorn. There is also Sutliff Hickory match.

I think I will try topping some Vermont Meat Candy with a vinegar barbecue sauce like they use in the Carolinas to cover the taste of their meat. 😈 You should try it in a fried egg chilli chutney sandwich. I can't out-sick you guys tonight

New pipe, vintage blend. Smoking some American Tobacco Company Bourbon Blend in a hardwood full bent billiard that David sent me. It's a handmade all wood pipe with wood stem non-detachable as well, and david, I removed the entire metal insert. If I were you I'd remove the bottom piece as well, it's a piece of recycled beer can!Perfectly flat bottom wood bowl underneath. Can't remember what hard wood you said you thought these were. I'll get some pics soon.

That Bourbon is a tough blend, but you can sure taste the Bourbon I have never given those Ukrainian pipes much of a chance. I have one broken in, but the way my sinuses were for almost three months I couldn't tell if it was me or the pipe.

Yes, that makes sense. The bowl is tasting a bit sweet like a hard maple but I took a look back in our messages and see the bowl is pearwood and the stem is cherry wood. I have a GREAT smoking pearwood pipe from @rekamepip from about 4 almost 5 years ago and although the inner bowl will be soft to scrape after 100+ bowls, just leave a thin cake at all times. I'll have this pipe hopefully broken in within 50 bowls. Thanks again!

Started this smoking day with GLP Embarcadero in an estate meer apple with a cracked shank that still smokes like a champ. Strong coffee to get me going. Now at work, where it will be Sir Walter Raleigh in a couple of cobs for the rest of this work day.
