Another turn at Dunhill- Ready Rubbed. Really liked this tobacco from the first smoke. Figures I'd really like something that is possibly going extinct. My instinct is to go mad and spend a couple grand on Frog Morton and Dunhill Blends, but the truth is, I have had so many great blends that having a small stash of old favourites for special occasions is probably sufficient. And those other blends? Probably enough of those around that I will still be sampling tobacco for many years before deciding on what handful of weeds I'll be buying exclusively. Just thinking 'out loud'. haha

Jim, I have noticed you are smoking a lot of the Wilke blends. I was scouting their base earlier and planning a possible raid. haha Any chance you plan on doing a little write-up on the blends like the article you wrote on the SPC blends?

Setting on the deck watching a flock of turkeys greeting the morning. Went to the pipe cabinet to grab a cob, and this Savinelli Rusticated Trevi 320 would not be denied, and was filled with SWR. This Tobacco has pretty much became a tradition with coffee this summer in the morning. Of course it has been that way obviously in a past life or two.

My first pipe of the day is Peretti No. 8 Slices in a K&P Petersons Aran billiard with a sterling silver band and vulcanite stem. I just noticed the ''s" at the end of Peterson, and wondering if that was intentional or factory error? I'm drinking a cup of tea and ordering more of this, as I have about two bowls left.

Now smoking Wilke No. 436 in a 2002 Ser Jacopo Delecta Fatta A Mano R1 sandblast Rhodesian with a smooth extension at the shank with a black acrylic stem. Watching the D-Backs - Dodgers game. I bet the #436 was a better hit then the D-backs. But the #436 is a nice medium smoke for the mid day.
