Mold will have a more fluffy and raised appearance where sugar, aka plume, looks more granular and lies flat.
While not the best photo, this one shows what I mean:

Was preparing supper to cook. I don't clench my pipe while cooking or preparing it to be cooked. So now back to the above pipe, if it isn't to damp to get it lit.
Anyone besides me, not really like having pipe tobacco ashes in their supper? Break time, time for more coffee and a smoke.

Now smoking RO Series Fire Storm in a Savinelli Oscar Lucite prince with a repair band and vulcanite stem. This was one of my Dad's pipes and one of my favorites. My beverage is a Diet Dr. Pepper on the rocks.

Last night I toasted some Escudo in my Imp Meer. Tonights bowl was Kingsbridge in a Curtz bamboo with wire rustication. Both pipes were accompanied by a Glenfiddich rocks.
