Now smoking RO Series Acadian VaPer in a smooth straight early 1960s Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.

Grey Havens in a cob. Roughly halfway through a 100g tin and at this point I think I can say I enjoy the tobacco. There are times on a retro-hale that I almost taste Lakeland essence. Faintly. Just enough of a floral note to remind me that Lakeland essence exists. In another forum I once saw someone refer to Lakeland as "dead grandma-topping" which is as morbid as it is descriptive. Made me laugh and say 'eww' at the same time. I need to find a lakeland- heavy blend to keep around. To me it is like anise (black liquorice) in that it's not a favourite, but I do get cravings for it on occasion.
It isn't any wonder so many writers and great thinkers smoked pipes. It really stirs the brain. I'm neither and just look at me ramble! Haha

Nothing here, yet. Been spending all day trying to hide TAD & PAD from Xuan. I did come across some jarred Sugar Plum (RO), which I will baptize one of my new pipes in. No decision yet.
Jug of water and a clear shot to the bathroom. Life is good

Relaxing after a wonderful spaghetti and meatballs dinner with cinnamon apple raisin pie ala mode for dessert and am part way through this bowl of Strang in a 2003 smooth medium bend straight grain Ardor Venere Extra signed by Dorelio Rovera Dublin and a black acrylic stem. Watching the Astos-Yankees game. Judge took a homer away with an amazing catch that only someone his height could catch.

Sun is behind the mountains and the sky is orange. There's a a Red Tailed Hawk circling and the Gamble Quail are scurrying about looking nervous. Other birds continue singing including the neighbor's goofy rooster ... perhaps the hawk is eyeing him? I'm smoking some 2012 Low Country Waccamaw in an MM Diplomat 5th Ave and sipping some more IPA.

I know this a pipe forum and I have all but kicked the habit, but American Spirit cigarettes... No chemicals. Just tobacco. The smell of a Marlboro honestly makes me sick after switching to these a few years back.
Anyway I'm having one of the newer blends. In the black pack. They are honestly really good. These are essentially a VaPer. Makes me wish I could try the old school smokes like the Sobrani's with Latakia. I almost dare to say that a few ciggies in moderation when drinking isn't all that bad of a thing. Especially ones of a high enough quality that you can really taste the tobacco. Maybe I'm just enabling a dirty old habit. Haha I digress.
What should I break my new Savinelli in with? I'm thinking something crisp and light like my beloved Esoterica-Dunbar. Something that let's me experience the pipe without ghosting it?

I roll my own cigs with my best pipe tobaccos... just this morning I rolled a McCrannie's extra VA sweet cig with cup o'joe... oh so good. Grind leaf with coffee or herb grinder for best even-burning smoke. No relights ever needed... great for dangling on the lips while choring in the yard. Why buy packs of cigs when you already have the best in the raw?🌞
